The more I think about it... the more the lazy (in my opinion) writing for Friendship is Magic: Deviations #1 ticks me off...
Exploring how this character could grow up a little different with his aunt's guidance? No, make him an outright an even bigger jerk because you'd "be wasting your time with a redemption story".
As The Fiery Joker once briefly covered, it is not a game for everybody. He himself said, IF I am recalling a posted vid correctly, that while he gave it a chance, it just wasn't for him.
For me... I have a blast playing it, especially in recent days.
Starting out more comical than I ever imagined, but expands things and, well... While Patrick Warburton is associated with Kronk by a lot of us, as Lemony Snicket, I can hear the levity in the narration.
The art style of the sets seem akin to Brett Helquist himself, so that's nice.
While I know they are all manipulating you in-game, I adore the Jade Lotus crime family... because pandas and one of my fave colors is green. Plus, Aya Blackpaw is a surprisingly bubbly character on your second win to join them. I may, just for flavor, not do any quests outside Arena and Tavern Brawl as an "excuse" to not leave the Lotus and join the Kabal.
I recently got back into Hearthstone... because let's face it, I feel for the trailer/teaser of Gadgetzan... and apparently I got back into it just in time, because that happens tomorrow... Neat.
Jade Lotus for me, so Druids, Rogues... and I think Shamans... I've been away from the game too long and oh, Tavern Brawl is mean...
