My Thoughts on "The Crystalling"

And so this wretched hiatus finally ends. Here's what I thought about the season 6 premier, The Crystalling.

This episode was pretty interesting. There was no main antagonist, like in season 4 (although you could consider Discord the bad guy of the S4 premier). Still, this episode didn't suffer from it. I think they handled Starlight pretty well, even if she felt kinda Sunset Shimmer-y. I'm finally over Flurry Heart's existence, and I now think that she might be a very important part of the lore from here on out. I absolutely adored the time that was given to Starlight and Spike, and I really hope it continues. It only makes sense for them to hit it off, in my opinion. This episode didn't floor me, but it wasn't awful.

Overall, I rate this episode at a solid 8 out of 10. We'll see how it improves as we move on. What did you guys think of this season's opener?
