Good afternoon, everypony! 
I have gathered up all of the questions for the sequel to Twinkling Gem and I have compiled them all here in a list for you all. You have all been waiting patiently for me to reveal the answers and here they are. So without further adieu, let us begin! 
(Quick tip: the lavender will be questions related to Twilight, the deep blue will be questions related to Rarity, and the normal black color will be questions to the story).
Certainly if you do choose to write a sequel, you should consider more exploration on the 'fallout' from Jet Set and Upper Crust's emphatic denouncement of the filly fooler lifestyle. How are the pro-fooler and anti-fooler factions divided. What I mean, is how much of the Canterlot's populace does Set and Crust have influence over and how much influence does Fancy Pants have? Is it 30/70? 40/60? 50/50? Because the amount of anti-fooler encounters and the Canterlotian anti-fooler boycotting Rarity will have an impact on how successful Rarity will be as well as her emotional and psychological health and stability.
With how close it came down to the decision to punish Twilight in such a horrific way, Fancy Pants does have some influence more so than Jet Set and Upper Crust. Ponyville will be an example of that. However, Canterlot is an entirely different story there. The chaos between this all will come crashing down in the capital of Equestria. And from the odds there that you have shown… I would have to imagine that there is at least a 40/60 difference. Fancy Pants is of course influential… but the support Upper Crust has managed is so much more. As for Rarity, she will definitely feel the impact of this type of struggle in their society, and so she shall be effected in these specific ways. 
What about physical altercations with the anti-fooler faction both in Ponyville and Canterlot? What about verbal abuse and slander?
For physical altercations there might be a few moments where this will happen. I say few as there might be a couple scenes from this. As for the verbal abuse and slander that will be much more rampant. (Let us just say that Celestia will have quite a difficult time controlling her subjects… even if everypony worships her, sometimes influence can override others and make them turn on what they believe in).
Since Twi's parents are cool with the two being filly-foolers, then I would strongly encourage considering having Rarity's parents be anti-fooler.
A good idea. I do imagine that there will be resistance. But the resistance may or may not be strong enough to completely cripple the relationship between Rarity and her parents as they are, more or less, just worried with what is going on in both Ponyville and Canterlot and how it is effecting their eldest daughter.
Other things to explore is if they want to have children, and if so, how are they going to obtain the children? One or both being serviced by a stud? Adoption? Artificial impregnation? What about legal stuff like power of attorney? Division of goods and wealth?
One interesting yet hard question to ask. I cannot really give much away with this topic because it is a very difficult question. In fact I never did think about the topic of whether they would want a child or not. 
But now that it has been brought up… I can certainly try and say that there will be talk between the two. As for the economical standpoint, there will certainly be a kind of pony to do that. (What with the status this certain pony will be gaining).
And that's not even touching on interpersonal issues such as a lack or breakdown in communication, venting on the other due to stress, money troubles or one pony being lazy while the other pony does all the domestic chores and the consequential fallout resulting from that.
Now this is another great question. 
Will the relationship between Twilight and Rarity face difficulties? Why of course. The first story was to simply set it up (albeit with problems still before it could fully come together), their relationship. However, now that it has finally bonded, the scenarios that will be taking place will ultimately put Twilight and Rarity’s relationship to the test.
And what of Twilight? Will she suffer the same or similar backlash from ponies because of her being a filly-fooler? In spite of her importance and influence in Equestrian government?
Twilight’s predicament is also another interesting question. With her now being a fillyfooler, life won’t be as simple as it used to be. Certainly she may have gained something (and of course a little bit more as well), but that doesn’t mean that she won’t just come through these problems unscathed. Even as she gains a new title and responsibility in this story, she’ll still struggle with problems that will push her own limits to the test.
And what about Spike? How does he feel about all of this? What stance does he have on filly-foolers? Is he upset or feel threatened with more of Twilight's time and attention being redirected towards Rarity? Does he feel neglected and unappreciated by Twilight as a result and how he 'falls under the radar' because of how close he is to Twilight and the routineness of what he does for her?
And yes… another great question. Spike’s importance to the plot was at least significant (even if he still played a small part to it). However, now that Twilight has Rarity and the two have fully bonded, I will definitely say that parts of this will begin to slowly affect him. How? I shall not reveal just yet. But with all the importance that Twilight has for him, there will definitely be some ‘falling under radar’ business going on.
Will there be any detailed fun time between Twilight and Rarity?
Such an important question. 
Do not worry though. There shall certainly be more clop scenes this time. However, I am not going to fill each chapter with one.
Please tell me the likes of Sapphire Shores, Fancy Pants and others will obliterate all of whatever Upper Crust has planned and has it destroy her reputation and credibility just for being a douchebag?
Hmm… well of course I am despising Upper Crust too at the moment. But with how I plan on defeating her? Well… you’ll just have to wait and find out. 
I am a little interested in knowing if you will be using dark magic in some way as part of the plot for the sequel or if it will be a fluffy story?
An interesting question. 
The first story’s main plot was to get Rarity and Twilight together, with part of it revolving around Dark Magic with mostly Fluff to it. However, there will be a mix this time. Dark Magic will be apart of it as well but not only from Twilight. The fluff will still be present, so do not worry. With the question of fluff, I will promise that there will be more clop. But of course, not enough that it overwhelms the story. (Again it is a repeated question, but I am just hoping to clarify this).
When will we have the first chapter?
Oh man… wow this is quite a difficult question. 
Well to be frank, the sequel to Twinkling Gem is not my top priority at the moment. On my other userpage I have another story that is currently my number one, so to speak. I am certain that I shall maybe write the prologue or something along those lines. However, I am uncertain when I shall even get the first chapter out. So with that in mind, I do not want to make any promises.

by the way the only reason i mentioned upper crust only is because when i remember reading it, the scene felt like upper crust was livid and jet set was simply follow along.
