New Story, and other shturff

It's probably a bit ambitious to post a blog up with only three followers (but each of you guys rock. Each of your watching notifications filled me with unimaginable amounts of glee), but I thought I might as well. Here it is:

Posted up a new story: Magic Memories. Currently in approval process. I only wish I could have come up with a better name, but that's not something I'm very adept at. I guess I could always change it if genius suddenly strikes, but for the time being, forgive the poor name.

It's about Twilight's parents, Night Light and Twilight Velvet. It's in the same spirit as The Descendant's A Sweet Taste of Cake (which it was, in fact, inspired by) except of much poorer quality, but it'll be a fun little project nonetheless. You see, it's my first time ever writing anything even moderately romantic (like, ever), and I like to give everything a shot at least once, so I gave this a shot as well. I'd love each and every bit of constructive criticism I could get.

Anyway, you likely haven't noticed, but I put up a new module that details some of the ideas I have for fics that may or may not be entertained. Some of them are just little inklings of things I'd like to attempt, and some of them are things that have received genuine thought. That will likely be updated very frequently (if I remember to whenever I get an idea, anyway). In weekly blogs, I feel like I should detail the current "state" of each of them, you know, for funsies.

Enter: Fluttershy: Progress rate: Slow but sure. I'm sporadically going in and out, adding a paragraph or two at a time. It actually feels really efficient. Trying to tone down the angst, as I feel like I'm going REALLY overboard with it, but it's been somewhat difficult to do that. Despite this fact, I'm trying to work in some type of breakdown, but it may be a bit difficult to work out with the way the narration is set up. Eh, we'll see.

As a side note, first down vote on Enter: Fluttershy. You have no idea how happy that made me. That probably sounded like an odd statement, but it really, really did. I was hoping it would have been accompanied by constructive criticism (or someone telling me how horrible I am), but I'll take what I can get. I appreciate hate just as much as, if not more than, praise!

Magic Memories: Progress rate: Currently non-existent. Posted up the first chapter and I eagerly await its approval and the new hole that I will likely be ripped for the amateur writing concerning romance. Don't want to use the "first romance fic plz be nice" card, so go all out when you read it!

Flim Flamily Feud: Progress rate: Currently non-existent. It has like 800-or-so words currently, and I'm out of ideas on where to take it. I feel like I owe it to it to finish it, because I personally think the name is genius incarnate, if I do say so myself. Will likely get posted eventually.

Unnamed CMC thingy: Progress rate: Currently non-existent. Probably gonna pull the plug on this one. It's not really going anywhere, and the contents aren't really too interesting (it was literally just "A day with the CMC" kind of thing. Not terribly interesting). It only has like 600 words, anyway, so I'm not going back on too much progress.

The ideas I am currently entertaining:
-Sad but romantic one-shot with Pinkie's parents. I really want to explore the parents. I don't know why, I'm just compelled to. The idea is essentially that some tragic event occurs after the Pie parents get a divorce. Due to the tragic event, they are forced to come to terms with each other and do stuff. I don't know. It sounded like fun. The ideas will be ironed out and finesse-ified with time.
-Sad Pinkie Pie thing. Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony, so, naturally, I want to do sad things relating to her. Of course. To be honest, I don't know where I want to go with this, but I do want to go somewhere. I originally thought of doing something similar to Enter: Fluttershy (arbitrary, contrived reasons that PP's all alone and angst angst angst), but I don't want to make that the case. I was thinking of doing something really mind-screwy, but I don't think I have the skeelz necessary. I'll think of something eventually.
-Straight shipfic with Applejack. Why not, right? I'm one of those "gotta try everything once" kind'a people, so I thought I might as well try shipping. Trying to think of who to ship AJ with though, (I'm intent on AJ on reasons I'm not entirely sure of), but I want to make it straight. I was considering Soarin', but I think I'd find it difficult to get them paired up. ("oh hey you gave me that pie one time let's go out"). I'll think of something.
-A really silly shipfic involving a bunch of weird pairings essentially going on some type of pentuple date. A friend and I were discussing really strange things and somehow we came up with a bunch of incredibly dumb shipping pairings and thought it would be hilarious to push it out. Probably not going to happen, in reality, but it'll be fun to do if I do.
