Rules of Fanfiction

This is a set of principles that I like to adhere to when writing a MLP fanfic, except that a few are just gags thrown in to make up numbers.

1: Don't let the canon get in the way of a good story.
2: Never reference the finale of the 2nd series if you can help it.
3: The Princesses are eternal.
4: Only reference that fanfic facetiously.
5: Ponies are better than humans, most of the time.
6: Paper decays, but the Internet is forever.
7: Dragons aren't typically gregarious.
8: Whoever breaks the cutie pays the price.
9: Cultural references get in no matter how hard you try.
10: Starting stories is the easy part.
