Well well, 2016 already.
I didn't do SHIT this last year. 8D
Things kinda fell apart around June in 2015, and unfortunately for you and for me that means I went about 6 months without being very productive at all. I started so strong!! I was writing a lot (not necessarily on pony things, but writing a lot!) and on track to keep Lily going and get that done in less than two freaking years... life, however, had different plans.
Life was crazy this past year: My son moved away with my ex-wife during Christmas 2014, so it was my first year without him around on a regular basis. I got him in the summer (which is why my writing productivity went away) and it just never picked back up thanks to problems I was having at work. I ended up quitting my job of 5 years in favor of a seasonal job that I'm hoping paves the way to a much nicer job, but as of right now I'm kinda floating in that respect... and as much as I'd love to tell you that 2016 is going to be much more productive, I can't promise anything right now. I'm getting my son 3 times throughout the year -- spring break, summer break, Christmas break -- so who knows how that's going to affect my ability to write. That, coupled with a few other things that could possibly be sprinkled through the year, spell a lot of distractions that could happen.
However, I've got most of a new chapter of Moon and Stars written as well as several chapters of a cute OC/canon shipfic that I was writing just for fun, so the writing is clearly coming back to me now. Romance is actually appealing to me once more, so that means that Lily has a much greater chance of being completed this year than it did last year -- especially because I went back and was reading some of my old RarTavia stuff and it helped rekindle my love of that ship. SUCH A GOOD SHIP.
Sooooooooooooooooooooo what I'm saying is that while I can't promise you anything at all, I'm going to do my best to keep plugging away and start churning out some stuff for everyone to read. I'm also going to try and keep updating this on a much more regular basis to encourage myself to be more active, so talk to me if you want. :D
