That awkward moment when I don't understand my notes

For Denying Destiny. I'm not sure if Celestia is even an Alicorn right now. Maybe she ascends in the story? Or she's already an alicorn? I dunno. The story line is somewhat clearly outlined, but my notes on character details make no sense to me right now. There's a mention of a shaman and it sounds like I'm saying it's Zecora, but I could've sworn Zecora is a completely unrelated character I'm

What must be understood about Starlight

Her redemption: it was quick, yes, but for the most logical reasons. The PRINCESS OF FRIENDSHIP ASKED HER TO BE FRIENDS. Her entire motivation for enforcing equality was so that she would never have to face a bad friendship like with Sunburst! That's like if Chrysalis was offered total rulership of and love from the Crystal Empire on the condition that she doesn't ever try to take love from

Calling Season Finale – Changeling Plan Revealed?!

They are going to replace Flurry Heart. That's why we see the changeling in the episode that introduces Flurry Heart, as well as the one where she's born. Remember Starlight also appeared in episodes relevant to her, the first where there's someone who abandoned their old friend because they were a higher achiever, and the other where they mention the consequences of time travel. The Changeling

Can we just merge all redundant groups?

Like, come on. Just... I dunno, build some master group for each topic, instead of having like, 50 different groups regarding timelines form Cutie Re-Mark? And also have community voted admins on groups? It's especially infuriating when I can't even find some of the more popular groups because they have some ridiculous name no one would ever think to search for.

Headcanon Dump · 11:09pm Jan 2nd, 2016

You know, I've had a lot of headcanons, and quite a few that I've forgotten as well.
You can ignore this post, it's probably full of far-fetched ideas, I only put it here instead of somewhere private because I tend not to check any place I've ever written notes to myself privately.
Random headcanon list time
The sun and moon are giant balls of magic that govern the world. The moon's power is split through the stars. Neither the sun and moon are stars. The sun is slightly bigger, but the stars combined with the moon make them equal. Luna controls all stars.

Celestia and Luna can see everything under the light of their skies, but only when they actively decide to look.

The sun and moon have partial sentience separate from Cel/Lun. They will send the alicorns visions if they find something important. In a way, they are similar to Harmony and are nearly as powerful in shaping the happenings of the world.

The prophecy of Nightmare Moon comes from the moon to Celestia. Tirek also seen through the sun and moon.

Nightmare Moon is a mistranslation of old Equestrian Luna: Mare of Nights This is why it's sometimes written as Night Mare Moon, like someone translated Statue of Liberty as Liberty Statue.

Mare in the Moon is also a mistranslation or coined from the title Mare of Nights, in which night and moon are nearly indistinguishable words in old Equestrian, as with sun and day.

The fire of friendship is the same as the Rainbow Power or the Elements of Harmony; being a force of power born by traits of friendship. Alternatively, the fire is the seed that created the Tree as it is possibly the first known instance of power created through friendship.

Twilight Sparkle's ascension from 'creating new magic' means the spell she finished puts more magic into the world (which goes to her ascension) when previously magic worked on the basis of 'it cannot be created or destroyed, only changed' like matter or energy in our world

The realm Celestia and Twilight enter in MMC is Celestia's equivalent of the dream realm, in which she can monitor the thoughts of ponies during the day just as Luna does the dreams of ponies at night.

Celestia and Luna were given immortality by the sun and moon, not because they're alicorns. (whether or not they also ascended through this or they were born alicorns).

Celestia was given her rainbow mane through using the Elements all by herself against Nightmare Moon. Also has to do with her combining the element's blast with her own beam rather than shooting them normally.

Nightmare Moon originally was simply Luna using dark magic to strengthen herself. The elements banish her because of this. However, when she returns to fight Twilight, this is not Luna, but rather the dark magic in control, as Luna's anger and jealously is ebbed away by banishment or possibly the moon itself, while the dark magic body is not, but can now be exorcised as it is not fueled by Luna directly anymore. This is also why Nightmare sounds like Luna in Princess Twilight Sparkle and Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep while she has a sultry voice in Friendship is Magic and Cutie Re-Mark, and why Nightmare is so incompetent in the show pilot. The dark magic has little to no life experience in comparison the Luna being a centuries old ruler, which is the reason she was an actual threat back then.

The visions in Princess Twilight Sparkle are created based on Twilight's knowledge rather than showing her anything. The potion is vaguely able to show users the part of a problem that needs fixing. Her final vision of the Tree comes from the tree itself, as it does not appear after drinking the potion, but rather as one of the potion's visions end. They are not accurate in portraying the past.

The strength Twilight demonstrates as an Alicorn is what the fandom thinks she can do as a unicorn in season 2 and 3. In truth, she's not that powerful at all (This might more be an anti-headcanon, the show says Twilight's talent is doing magic, and from what she does in her spare time, it's more so being able to learn spells than being a strong spellcaster. If Twilight were in a fighting game, her strength would not be doing a lot of damage, but rather unconventional means of gaining vantages through a wide variety of tricks) Starlight's talent is actually having a lot of magic power rather than what Twilight does, which is why she is able to last as long as an Alicorn (Twilight) in a fight even when having to levitate herself when her opponent has a separate pool of magic for flight.

Teleporting is a huge waste of magic, especially in a fight. This is demonstrated in the show pilot in which Twilight, in all her studies, still struggles with the spell, gaining a headache, and only becomes proficient at the spell in Season 2 or 3. This also costs her in the fight against Starlight Glimmer.

Luna taints the moon with dark magic in her original transformation to Nightmare. This is also why the Celestia shoots her to the moon, so the elements can purify it along with imprisoning Luna.

Chaos and Disharmony are not the same and neither are order and harmony in this world. Chaos is the force of change in the world and order is a force that creates patterns and consistency. Disharmony and harmony are directly related to living beings and the power of their interactions on the world.

Discord is not a spirit of disharmony. He never mentions disharmony after Return of Harmony, only mentioning chaos. He is only known as a spirit of disharmony for his torment of ponies

Observation: Every 2 villains have gone by themes and have strange similarities.
Discord and Nightmare Moon are presented as antitheses to harmony, their defeat bringing peace to the world and celebration. They both have stain glass windows, and directly change how Equestria as a land functions, changing the cycle of the sun and moon and reshaping reality. They are defeated by the elements in the past and again by the mane six in the present. They are also hidden in plain sight to the world from their defeat, one being an image on the moon and the other a statue in a garden. They both specifically are evil for the sake of ruling. Yes, they want eternal night and chaos, but their motives demonstrate a desire to rule rather than shenanigans for the sake of shenanigans. Sombra's motives for conquest are unclear and Chrysalis specifically thinks ruling will help gain love. Tirek wants power, and the throne is a show of dominance. They are also the villains most often depicted as godlike beings rather than powerful monsters.
Following up, Sombra and Chrysalis both have an ironic need for love and are defeated by love themes, while the mane six only supports those that defeat them. Both times, it's the heroes that get stain glass windows rather than the villains. Sombra needs the Crystal Heart, which he plans to corrupt, and Chrysalis needs love to grow strong. They both have royal titles in their names, of King and Queens, and only presented a threat in one area, in which their victory would allow them to spread to the other areas of Equestria. Chrysalis being a threat to Canterlot and Sombra to the Crystal Empire. Both their plans involves creating a powerful army (as seen with Sombra in Re-Mark) and both have a heavy black and green motive in their designs. Cadance has a direct tie to both their defeats, and their defeats are both their sources of power backfiring on them, being love and the slaves' emotions.
Tirek and Starlight both stole cutie marks. Yea... Their episodes also heavily centered around the Castle of Friendship, first being the castle itself and second being the castle map and it's power.
That's it...
