This is a list of my current OCs and a little about them.

Apple Berry Breeze
She goes by Breezy
She is one of the first Pegasi to be born to the Apple Clan(House Apple)
She is from Applejack's line.
Her talent is weather management, mainly in relation to growing crops.
CM:Apple shaped cloud with a lightening bolt.

Sapphire
Nicknamed Saphhy though she hates it
She is part of a long line of Pony-Dragon hybrids,mainly belonging to her house, House Diamond.
She is from Rarity's line.
She can smell gems.
Her talent is using gems to make various art work.
CM: A flame shaped sapphire

Party Favor
Her Birth Name is Strawberry Pie
She is the first in her line in many years to have a CM related to parties.
She is from House Pie, Pinkie's line.
She changed her name after a falling out with her family and to better fit who she is.
CM: A party popper with streamers.

Moonset Shine
She is from House Sparkle.
She is very distantly related to Twilight.
She specializes in Combat Magic.
Her dream is to join the Night Guard.
CM: Lance with a crescent moon shaped blade.

Now to explain, yes all of them are descendants of the Mane Six. This works off of the idea that while Celestia and Luna are immortal, Twilight and Cadence are not. The members of the Friendship Council had their families made into honored Houses by Celestia. This is mostly an "in name only" kind of thing. But most pride themselves on their ancestry. In Party Favor and Moonset's case a little too much.
