Hello, all! For the past year I have been building a world which I call Gallomore, and since I now have a story in the making (30.000 words and counting,) I have decided that I want to upload pieces of this world to the MLP community.
For the sake of the admins, I can assure that it is MLP related, with strong yet un-obvious ties to Equestria - I do however not want to explain further as it might interfere with the plot in a negative way to give away such information at this stage.

Here is your first glimpse into the world of Gallomore:

---------------------------------------------------------------
#1: Gallomore
Subjects discussed here will be expanded upon in upcoming blogs - the information already exists

Gallomore is a world that has no plant life. It is covered in sand, in dry earth and in massive mountains - but it is in itself not a desert. It has a sky which shifts in shades of orange, with only hints of blue fading in the atmosphere.

Ponies
Gallomore is a world of earthpoines. This isn't something which was ever wished for though: many hundred of years ago, the pegasus race started to disappear - slowly. At one point in history, something started affecting them: they grew older much faster, the rate of stillborns increased in an explosive manner and eventually - they all died away. Now all that is left of the Pegasus civilisation is the weather stations, which without the pegasus' control has lunged many places of Gallomore into states of Hyper-stable weather.
The Unicorns disappeared much earlier than the Pegasi. It is unclear if they walked the same path to extinction, or if something else was the cause, but the one thing that is clear, is that they are forgotten - for no common pony know of their existence, in any way, shape or form. Only scatters of functioning unicorn magic can be found throughout Gallomore, and very few can use it without the aid of what isn't assumed to be a unicorn horn. However, as time goes on, the magic is slowly fading, for reasons unknown.

Land
Gallomore consists of two parts: the mainland (Maneland) and the Southwest, which are divided from eachother by a massive stream called "The Maw".
The Mainland hosts Gallomore's capital, Trottholm, and a number of known settlements. However, there are settlements that lie under the power of the weatherstations, and that are still unknown, living under eternal fogs, storms and scorching suns, leading to isolation and obliviousness. It also hosts the widest and most desolate place that is known to any pony: the Grillby desert. Should a pony walk astray in there, there's little hope of ever returning back.
The Southwest is different. It is an uninhabited land of bizarreness, chaos and confusion. It is said to be home to a strange form of still powerful magic, and not much is known about it - there is only one pony, who knows the Southwest.

Wood / Food
Even though there is no plant life, it isn't uncommon to see old wooden constructions or details all over Gallomore, because though the last trees disappeared before the Pegasi did, it is believed by scholars that the lands once were filled with forests and fields, and that wooden creations of the time must have been treated to not let time wear them down.
The lack of plant life could create problems regarding food, but thanks to the capital's most highly respected magical scholars, the Last Line, transformation magic can be used with energy from the sun, to create food from lifeless materials such as stone or sand. This food is then transported via carriages to the known settlements.
A much bigger mystery is the "Squealers," a collection of pony-less wagons which is said to supply the unknown settlements with water or food.

Misc. Knowledge:

The world of Gallomore is riddled with curses, but one of the most widespread is the Lullaby, which - together with many things said in this blog - will be explained deeper in upcoming blog posts.

There are no cutiemarks in the sense that we know them - ponies have three dots on their flanks. It is often assumed that this shows a magical link between ponies.

-------------
There are many things to be said about Gallomore, and this is only a mere picture of the surface.

The Gallomorian Chronicle is a quirky and dark comedy played out in the Gallomorian universe, which follows the awkward and confused character Gears on his quest to be able to fly.
