Almost time: Sphinx's Coastal Adventure · 3:43am Dec 17th, 2015
Day 5:
Sorry for not making a post yesterday. The main reason is that simple not much happened, we only went to our new hotel. We are now staying in a three story villa called "Sloth Casa", next to the Pacific Ocean. Once we got here, I went explore the complex, but that was it.
As for today however, we went kayaking in the mangroves. The guide kept stressing how important the ecosystem is there, and it truly. It felt so alien to be next to those trees, then again that could simply be because I woke up at 4 am from the tour... Anyways, while kayaking we saw snakes, birds, crabs, and monkeys climbing along the branches. I never been kayaking before, but it wasn't difficult, more so since we just let the current push us.
Once we were done we came back to the villa and went to the beach. I can't believe how warm and salty the water is compared to up north in the Atlantic. The sand was surprisingly firm beneath my feet, guess that's because we came after the tide left. Saw quite a few hermit crabs along the beach as well. And even more monkeys where we choose to sit. Amusingly, the spot we choose to sit at is the exact spot where my sister is getting married.
On that note, the marriage is tomorrow! So long in the making just for this one day, I hope my sister likes it, and lives a long life with her soon-to-be husband. Anyways, until next time,
