    The Old Generations

Well, G4's been dead for a while and G5 is nothing of note, so I decided to go back and finally fill in the gaps with G1 and G3

...Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by them

My Little Pony 'n Friends, the first half of G1, was far and away better than I thought it'd be at first glance

I have done nothing productive all year

    It's a good feeling.

Thanks for everything MLP. Thanks for all the rage-inducing characterization, stories, character assassination, and calling out the Brony fandom numerous times. It was a lot of fun.

    Changing Tastes

Is it odd that I very much prefer stories back from before...I probably wanna say the ending of Season 3?

Everything felt far more varied and creative, whereas - to me, at least - it feels like every story nowadays is a rehash of something done five years ago in some vain attempt to capture the same feeling, and it just falls flat.

    The MLP Movie

It was great and had more world-building in sixty minutes than the show had in seven seasons.

I wish they'd used THIS to premier Friendship is Magic, because we'd have had so much more potential for stories than rehashing the same dozen plotlines over and over again

Ah well, such is the hazard of hindsight...

Starlight looked around the barren wasteland, utterly confused.

"But...I...Rainbow Dash performed the Sonic Rainboom. A double Rainboom. Why is the future still...this?!"

She whirled around. "Twilight? Twilight! Where are you?"

"Wait, you know about the Double Rainboom?" a raspy voice asked.

"Yes, in fact, I helped her pull it off," Starlight said proudly, turning and then let out a blood-curdling shriek.

Staring at her was a rotting pony, who looked offended. "Well, that's awfully rude," it said with a snort.

"Y-yo-you're...oh god, what happened?" Starlight whimpered.

"Well, if I remember my history, Dash performed a Double Rainboom, which the Zebras interpreted as a sign to begin invading Equestria, since to them, the stars foretold such an event and heralded the fall of the Princesses. Twenty bloody years of war that eventually ended with both the Zebras and Ponies driving each other to the edge of extinction with new ways to kill each other," the rotting pony said.

"All that...from a single event?" Starlight said hollowly.

"Oh, the next two hundred years were even worse. Changelings invaded, enslaved everything that moved to extract love and emotions from them and after that, the Crystal Empire reappeared and King Sombra waged war once again...so yes. A single event led to the death of Equestria."

"Who are you?" Starlight whispered in horror.

"I'm not surprised you didn't recognize me. Hello Starlight. My name is Rainbow Dash and you helped me kill Equestria."
