Triptych Continuum: the music tracks. · 2:34pm Feb 5th, 2023

...I'm as surprised as you are.

This started up last week. Vinylshadow casually posted a composition in the 'verse Discord server. Then another. At some point, after the deepest part of the shock had started to wear off, gratitude had been verbally fumbled (a lot) and I'd once again had plenty of time to consider how 'thank you' is one of the weakest phrases in the language, I advised finding a storage site. They did, and occasional new tracks have been appearing ever since.

It has to be shared. And since as we all know that the publicity generated by The Estee Bump is good for a minimum of -14 views/plays, plus some chance of gaining a periphery Hatedom and possibly up to seventeen accusations of insanity per hour, this felt like the right time to publicize.

Here's Vinyl's Soundcloud page.

If you enjoy what you hear, you can Like, Follow, Repost, and Share from Soundcloud. However, if you want to make a text comment, it probably has to go here or on Vinylshadow's FIMFic userpage. And please note that these tracks are fully their compositions: my participation has been through listening.

I'm as surprised as you are.

And 'thank you' still feels too weak.

Several times.

It's been fascinating to see the tracks come out on the server. I can't deny envy for those who work in media I don't, music especially. Congrats on inspiring some great music, and thanks to Vinyl for composing them.

It was fun fleshing these out from the vague ideas that came up as I read the fics the songs relate to

(although accuracy may vary from listener to listener, and I'm curious what others feel from them)

Wow, I'm in awe. This is really cool.

These pieces are very moving! I especially like Triptych Continuum, as it puts me in mind of Merry Go Round of Life from Howl's Moving Castle.

Awesome recognition for an awesome universe. I've spent the past few days reading through the triptych one shots (having read the original a couple of times over the years) and I have to say that the way you portray the emotions and thought processes of each of your characters is absolutely beautiful. I have heard of method acting, but never method writing (before now). Thanks for making such a wonderful universe. I hope that you find time to come back to Glimmer, as I am greatly looking forward to reading it.

This absolutely feels like an oldschool RPG soundtrack. Lovely.

Whelp, now I'm going to be checking YouTube for Triptych animations :pinkiehappy:

"Art" as in "painting", right? Because music is also an art.
And where in the checklist does this go?

Amazing work. I especially liked Ratchette theme (both of them).
