I loved this season finale, I really do. The alternate realities, the bad ass fights, and Starlight's redemption, something that I know many of you people out there are probably not so pleased about. This is one of the best season finales yet so far, for me, and so I watched this finale again, multiple times. After a bit of thought, I came to realise- why does Twilight not have her magical changeling detecting war paint stuff? The stuff that Zecora put on her? Not that I'm going to rant about how it is a mistake or something that the staff looked over, but I thought that if she still had that war paint on her, likewise with Spike, wouldn't it give Twilight a better, I dunno, development throughout the episode? Aesthetically, furthermore presenting her development throughout the episode in both heart, knowledge- mentally? When she shows Starlight the future, the barren wasteland, when Twilight told her about how she is effecting the future of Equestria, wouldn't that paint give her a stronger sense that she's been through some sh*t recently, and that she knows what she's saying? I'm unsure wether I'm using the right words to get my point across, but hopefully you understand.
Keep in mind, I love this season finale too much to feel like Hasbro missed an opportunity to improve this episode, but what are your thoughts? Do you think I'm reminiscing like Granny Smith, or bringing up an interesting point? Do you think this kind of small development of clothing, style, paint, cuts, ect... can create deeper feelings? I honestly don't know, so that's why I'm asking the few people who follow me this question.
p.s. I'll probably edit this to say that it seemed like a good subject to bring up at the time.
I liked how zecoras paint gives them all stripes, I like to thinking of it as a subtle hint towards zebras and how they're all different.
