Writing Troubles

tl;dr: I want to name a writing project and have no good ideas. Skip down a bit for story info.

I don't really have too many people looking my way yet, but I figured I'd drop this for whatever random people scan random blog posts or the few that might have this pop up in their feed.

I have a story idea that I would love to develop. I'm already working up notes and beginning world building, but I'm having a rough time coming up with a title other than 'Night Pony Project' as a working title, a placeholder until something better comes to mind. I started building back in summer, but had a major setback with two major hard drive problems since then, one involving a hard drive that is completely dead now. I'm starting from scratch and am kind of both hitting snags and finding new inspirations.

The title thing is bothering me more than it should. Most writers I know worry about titles later, but several have admitted right along with my own experience, that sometimes a good title can help guide the project and keep it on track. I'm not letting this issue stop me, but it's reeeaaaalllllllyyy nagging at me.

I'm overriding some serious trust issues here because I'm going to share some of what I want to do with this project, a bit of world building and premise.

The story begins when Luna still stood at Celestia's side, prior to her fall but after the Nightmare began influencing her. This would be when the Nightmare was only a nagging, whispering voice that was only just beginning to get her to listen. Luna, listening to her 'inner voice', decided to seek out the unwanted, neglected, abandoned and otherwise suffering foals that could be spirited away with the least notice. She did this over months and brought them to a secret new home where they could be cared for by Luna and shades she summoned, tapping the budding powers of the Nightmare. She changed her foals to better live in and love her night. Three new races of pony were born; Thestral, lunar pegasus; Umbracorn, star touched unicorn; Shade pony, shadow aligned earth pony.

These foals became an army in short time and fought under the banner of their savior, Luna/Nightmare Moon. With the banishment of their mistress the army fought on, hoping that defeating the Sun itself would bring their beloved Mother back, until almost all were wiped out by Celestia's forces. The thestrals are all Equestria knows in the modern era of those three races, known as the only survivors of Luna's fall to those that even know that much history of the War of the Lunar Republic.

What would it mean if an umbracorn filly was discovered unconscious, far from civilization 1,000 years after her kind were thought extinct? What would it mean for the princesses and all of Equestria?
