Well, Plomo o Plata is published

Another instalment of my version of Sunset's story, a work that has been pretty much my sole creative output of some last five years is out there.

Its not as great as I wanted it to be. It was better in my head, but still, I am very glad to have posted it. It was a big challenge for me, in almost every aspect. The genre, the style, the language, the story itself, but I think I pulled through.

    Skipping a beat

Hi to ally precious few readers of Plomo o Plata,

Today, unfortunately, I will not be able to put out a chapter.
There are few last moment revisions that came up, and with the bit of chaos happening in my life I'm running late.

    Sorry.

Ill get it done by next Wednesday for sure.

    Why We Fight

    Why do I write?
Why do I write what I chose to write?

I've been asked this question a few times, and I think I should put to paper the answer to it.

    So, why do I write?

The mastery of any art begins with the art of... imitation

So, I've recently read Peter Watts's anthology and it was _great_. And after reading it, I wrote an excerpt wherein I tried to imitate his style.
Unfortunately, it neither fits in my current fic (almost done, I swear!) nor does it make any sense out of context.

    My Little Xenophilia.

    I am finishing my fic.
    Finally.
It just clicked one day (and I think I barely wrote a hundred words on said day), that this is it. The final stretch.

Age spells · 7:52am Nov 12th, 2015

A lot of fictions concentrates on the fact that alicorns are (or, at least, seem to be) immortal.
I am not entirely convinced that they indeed are, but setting aside arguments that Celestia and Luna are rather exceptional even by alicorn standards, I would like to note that a lot of people simply forget the age spells that Trixie performed with her alicorn amulet.
Granted, it was something only a "Highest level unicorn can do" but apparently those things are not unheard of, and they do indeed make a target at least a decade younger. So even without becoming an alicorn, some exceptional ponies, that can either cast the spell themselves or afford to get someone to cast it on them would have a good chance at the unnaturally long lives even without becoming Princes/Princesses.
