Write a passage that's a feast for the eyes
I'm looking for some great visual material, playing with lighting, shadows. It can be a scene, portrait, landscape, inside of a cave, whatever. You have to really make me see what im reading. think about things like time of day, the colours, the things that give off light, bio luminescence, disco lights, im just throwing you some ideas. do research and have fun with it!
the winner will be decided based on the most well thought out visual treat for the eyes, simple.
no word limit but try to keep it under 10k just for me.

Thinking back, maybe it hadn't been such a bright idea. He stood amongst the identical houses and their still residents, as an unearthly wailing tore through the air. Such a saccahrine recreation of normal life. Their were what looked like children, ghostly pale and unnaturally still, frozen in the midst of playing with a similarly lifeless dog. Cars sat empty in driveways, the televisions not connected to any cables, and the bland refrigerators held no food. They didn't need to. He had heard the warnings, and the sirens, but he had been too frightful to risk punishment, and now he would pay the ultimate price. He wandered amongst the green lawns, and the colorful houses, and waited for his end. A flash. He dove under a nearby bus, tall, long, and a brilliant shade of yellow. A rumbling sound, as though the earth itself were hungry. He hoped he would see his family again. Then nothing.
Is it okay for me to enter again? This seems like an interesting contest, and I know a few people who might want art.
