An Apology (AKA Why I Took Down Another Story) · 1:03am Oct 20th, 2015
Yeah, it's me again. You probably didn't expect to hear back from me this soon.
At last check, my new story The Moment of Truth had 2 likes, and 12 dislikes out of something like 100 views. It's not like the reaction was so bad I HAD to take it down, but I still felt like I had to just throw it away. I apologize if you didn't get a chance to read it, but I want all of you to know something about me.
Those of you who have followed me for a while may know that this is not the first time I've deleted a story. The first time was when I made a very shallow and soulless parody of Breaking Bad that got something like 20 dislikes. I deleted both of these fics for the same reason: I didn't put my soul into my work.
I thought the Breaking Bad parody would be creative, but I didn't have passion for it and it showed through. I feel like the same thing happened here. I didn't bring my A-game, and people figured that out pretty quickly. I forgot to include something in my entry yesterday. I write these fics to entertain you, yes, but I also do it to put my passions down on paper (or whatever material the internet qualifies as). So if I don't feel impressed or happy with what I write, and nobody else likes it either, what's the point of having it exist?
Just to give you an idea of why I took down another story, I'd like to point out that I feel like more effort has gone into this blog post than my stupid little sex story.
I promised you back in June that I would have something new for you soon. I lied, and I'm sorry. But I'll try my best to do something that I can be proud of soon.
See you on the flip side,
Strongbrush
Dang it!
