Basics About Me · 6:29pm Sep 27th, 2015
Hello everyone! My name is Semaj, and I (obviously) write pony fiction. My favorite characters to write are the royal sisters because I love politics, writing about the family dynamic, and illustrating the hardships of immortal life.
I feel best suited for longer dramatic stories typically in the sad, tragic, or romantic genres. However, that being said, I also love writing short comedy stories, especially those of the adorable verity.
My favorite thing to do is collaborate with other writers. If you want to write with me please just ask.
As of now I don't do commissions, but you may request a story if you would like. If it is a good idea that I feel should be expanded upon, then I will try to find time to write it. I will do anything within reason (besides Anon in Equestria, clop with no plot and extreme fetish stories). Also if it feels derivative or uninteresting then I will have to say no. I will also note that I do not do anything that I think would hurt my image as a writer.
Right now I have a lot of things that I am working on. So, for those who are interested, here is a list of things I have in the works.
1. A human in equestria romance story staring Pinkie. (I have no idea what's happening with this story)
2. Maybe a story about Zecora. That'd be fun. (Coming soon)
3. Secret Marble goes to Collage story (coming soon)
Do the HiE fic last. They're horribly overdone, so if you're going to do it at all, you should do it with as much experience as possible.

True.
I also agree they are often quite trite by now, but I had an idea for a story that seemed fresh, at least to me. It's of very low priority just because I might end up not doing it at all.
3425990 It's not so much that the plots are all the same, but rather the characters are all the same. In 95% of good HiE, not even counting the really bad ones, the character is like this:
He's a guy who just wants to go home. Eventually he realizes that he will never return to Earth, and comes to terms with it. He wants to live a simple life in Equestria with a couple close friends, but forces are aligned against him, either pony bigotry or an evil villain prevent him from doing what he wants. He then tries his best to overcome the challenges in front of him, and with the help of friends, succeeds.
He is overall a pretty nice guy in his twenties. He received an higher education, or was going to college/university before going to Equestria. When his friends are threatened, he will do anything to protect them, even if it only 'confirms' the racist ponies worst fears about his evil ways. He is also very snarky.
And yes, the human is almost always male. Just make your main character a girl and the fic will be something different from the vast majority.

I hadn't decided gender for sure, but I was going to go with male. I will consider female though. It could make the polt quite unique.
The thing that makes him different is that he's not the stereo typical "nice guy" that's in every HIE. He was actually intended to be very cynical and almost mean. He was a very bitter and depressed person, and being in a world of pure optimism actually makes him feel even worse and more alienated. That is until the ponies of Equrestria get tierd of him being a Debbie Downer and foreably introduce him to Pinkie Pie, so she can cheer him up.
The problem is he doesn't want to be cheered up; he wants to be left alone. The main struggle of the story would be her trying to break through his emotional wall and him trying to distance himself from her and everypony else.
(Also none of that racism crap that is in so many.)

And yeah he sort of wants to go home, but it's not a huge deal. He doesn't have many people to go back to.
Sounds ballzer
