For the horror story

While it was going to begin with the OC's beginning their exploration for maybe one or two chapters, should I start with Celestia meeting up with the Mane 6 and all those going with her and Luna to explore the unknown regions of Equestria? After the meeting, everything goes more into a large flashback as Celestia gives them their orders and go with more flashbacks as the story goes on.

or
the second idea of first exploration being a massive flashback

I like both, honestly.

The new one, it's starting out with what they're gonna do, a mission, and flashbacks as it goes on.

But the old one, it's getting a plot point out of the way, making it all easier to understand.

So truthfully it's up to you
