Whoa, What? A Blog? · 12:49am Sep 9th, 2015
Well hi there! By some random chance, it appears I have followers, so welcome, all five of you! =D I suppose I should introduce myself out of gratitude for your patronage: I'm River Rock (more commonly known as Riverfox237 in other parts of the web), and I like fanfiction. I'm sure nothing I've said has surprised you so far. If you're here now, it's probably because you saw one of the two minor fics I've so far posted: one about a weird made-up pony race and the other a theory-throne. Sadly, I don't have massive plans for either of these; they were mainly posted because I wanted to have something with my name on it out in the fanfiction world again, and I really liked that idea I had about Luna's throne. I'm a bit embarrassed, actually, for I feel as though neither quite demonstrates my actual writing capabilities yet, since both were written quickly and mainly in order to get an idea across. (I submitted Luna's Throne to EQ and got some very thorough critique back, which I am using to better myself. I'm sure you're all aware of what a painful and irritating task bettering oneself is. Cookies are accepted as consolatory gifts.)
This does not mean I am inactive, though, because my real project at the moment is a rather gigantic fanfiction called, at least for now, The Armorbearers. It's mostly about some OC ponies I made up.
"Oh no," the crowd groans, "not MORE OC ponies! The internet is LITTERED with OC ponies! You could populate all of the actual EQUESTRIA with OC ponies!"
This is entirely true, but I don't care, because a well-made OC is extremely fun, and I've gotten excellent feedback on my story so far, and I'm nine chapters into it already, so shut up. The downside is that, due to my self-awareness of how consistent I am with finishing things, I have forbidden myself from posting any of it until it is done. My reward for finishing will be getting to share it with people! And who knows, maybe if I get bored enough, I'll spill some spoilers about it. For instance, I'm currently hating chapter 9, because it involves finding a creative and interesting way to sum up what is basically the entire history of the world in, like, two pages. This is complicated.
So that's what's up around here, anyway! Thank you all again for the Follow, and an extra thank-you if you actually read all of this. XD; (I know I don't always read journals, so I shant throw stones.)
Now, I'm sure you're all wondering, why am I depicted as a magically-floating boulder? Well, there's a very good explanation for that.
Have a good night!
