Horizons is done. Finished. Ended.
And what a ending it was. I'm happy. and sad. and tired. It's like 4 a.m. where I am.
I. I got nothing to go on. I'm drained. after so many character deaths and such. But hey. It's over and we get a happy end after all that.
I'm sad. Sad isn't the right word. Whats a word for slightly sad but still happy?
Googled it. couldn't find anything.
content isn't the right word either.
I have the epilogue open on another tab right now and I just keep skimming it.
I'm just going to go with satisfied.
I'm kinda not happy it ended and didn't get a perfect ending, but what story does?
I'm not sad about the ending I did get, and the epilogue makes me smile.
Satisfied. Yeah. That'll work.
I want to end on something deep. Have this insane philosophy on life I came up with. It's like nihilism. But not.
Life has no inherent value or purpose any way you spin it. We exist by pure chance and for no reason.
Therefore, you as a thinking being capable of understanding the universe and its vastness to the best of your abilities, must create a purpose for your life and do everything you can until it is either fulfilled or you see what comes after.
Life has no purpose save that which we create for ourselves.
That aught to do it.
