Dreams · 11:32pm Aug 21st, 2015

Do you remember dreams often? I do, and I've had some strange dreams :rainbowhuh: A few nights ago I had one I hated. I was doing a acting job. And i take drama classes so I want to get into acting. So back to my dream, everything went wrong and I never got my dream fulfilled. When I was a child I had problems with my ears, I couldn't hear and everything I heard felt as if I was under water. I had to get tubes in my ears to fix it, but I had a dream that was sorta about this. So my dream was like this,I was at like a creepy ear doctor. Everyone was there to get water out of there ears(in my dream water hardened). It was my turn and (i was like really young when i had the dream) I sat on my mom's lap and the doctor took out the water with (idk how there spelled but its like plucking eye brows or somthing) and it hurt.

That's all I have to say.

I've had weird nightmares like that, a whole lot more along with other kinds of dreams when I was much younger. At one point I'd heard about a thing called Lucid Dreaming where you can first become aware you're in a dream and will yourself to stay in it if you want. Next you can learn to control the dream to be whatever you like. I tried this for about ten years but never became particularly good at it, although I can now take myself out of nightmares or turn them into something else if I'm aware I'm in a dream. Sometimes I'm not.

You might want to look into Lucid Dreaming. It's pretty interesting.

3337450 I know about it but its really hard ;/ lol

3337453

I know. That's why I finally gave up on it after ten years of trying. No matter what I did I could never quite get it right. I think it's a talent that some people have, like playing the piano. I don't think it's for everyone.

3337457 ya, but i bet if you focus long and hard you can. Lol then its not for me :rainbowlaugh:

3337470

But, that's the thing! You're not supposed to focus too hard or it takes you out of the dream. You're just supposed to learn to be aware you're in it then learn to move around in it. Eventually you're supposed to be able to change everything in the dream just to the way you want it to be. I got pretty far with that but never became as good at it as I wished. Still, I did end up having some pretty fantastic s*x dreams! lol

3337473 o.o...ok but i meant before you sleep, idk if that would help

3337474

It's probably different for everyone but for me doing anything before going to sleep never made any difference. No matter what I tried it was always just the same thing.

Still, if you're interested, it's worth a shot. Here's a link to the Lucidity Institute if you're curious.

You're welcome. If you get into it let me know how it's working out. So, other than weird nightmares how are you?

3337511

Good! I'm glad to hear that. So, working on any new stories?

3337516 sorta, I've had them for a long time but I'm just working on the ones I'm proud of
