I'm writing a story.
(pause for shock and awe)
Yeah, you read that. I'm actually writing it, too, not just plotting it out, writing down the awesome bits and forgetting about the rest. I have almost two thousand words in a real-life text file. I haven't done this in almost five years, apparently... the last thing I wrote well enough to publish was a Discworld story, The Death and Times of Reginald Shoe. You can read that if you want to know what you're signing on for. It's even got an explanation at the top of the page about the kinds of things I write, which apparently haven't changed.
I'm not going to say what this story is or anything, but I figured the people who cared enough to watch me before I wrote anything that wasn't a comment deserved some form of reward for their ridiculous optimism. (It's not either of the ideas I mention on my userpage, either. That would be too easy.)
Anyway, here's the actual point: If I haven't posted a story by the end of August, I want you all to find me and kick me in the pants. Or, you know, send me nasty PMs or something.
So.
