Howdy gang! I'm currently working on the outlines for new chapters, and I wanted to try something in the meanwhile. I've seen other authors post story ideas that they currently don't have time to write themselves, but would still like to see in story form. I thought I would try something similar. The next few blog posts will feature an idea that I had, that I want to write someday, but don't have time for right now. I will still likely write those stories, but if these story outlines inspire anyone to write their own take, I'll be more than happy to see where that author takes the idea. So without further ado, in honor of a recent film release:

Diplomatic ties have been made between human and pony worlds. For over a year, representatives have gone back and forth to establish trade and travel agreements. Now the Mane Six and Spike are traveling through the portal to explore Earth and establish goodwill. A sudden terrorist attack damages the portal and deposits them on a strange island, one covered in derelict buildings with the logo of a dinosaur skeleton with the words: Jurassic Park. Now Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Spike must find someway to survive long enough to contact the outside world, before the denizens of the island get hungry.

There are a few directions I see this going. It could be written similar to how the original film and/or book was, as a survival horror/monster attack fic. It could be more lighthearted, with Fluttershy taming the beasts and everyone enjoying a vacation on a island paradise with their new scaly friends. Or it could even go total grim/dark, with the various carnivores hunting the hapless ponies down one by one... Oh Lord in Heaven please don't go that route! Sorry, overly grim/gruesome stories aren't my cup of tea. But if that sort of story is what you feel compelled to write, go for it! I'll probably just write my own version someday anyway. Probably.
