Dammit I Missed! · 2:35am Jul 23rd, 2015
Well I missed it by a couple days but it's still close to the opening day.
Exactly 60 years ago on July 17th. The happiest place on earth, Disneyland was opened. Here's a little history lesson for you all, when Disneyland was opened, it was a complete train wreck. They ran out of food, most of the rides broke down and to make it worse, when Walt let a child cut open the ribbon that officially opens the park, the ribbon didn't really cut. So Walt had to rip it apart.
Even though the first day wasn't going as perfectly well as Uncle Walt thought it would go, it still worked and it still became the happiest place on earth we know and love today. That's why I look up to Walt Disney. He started with practically nothing, but built his fame with a simple drawing of some silly cartoons. Truly, it was all started by a mouse.
