I'd hoped that my shorter story wouldn't need to be rated Mature. But it does. Darn.
Oh well, I might submit it as a Mature story later.

What is it rated Mature for? Language? Violence? Sex themes or what? Unfortunately I'm very nitpicky with these kinds of things and I'm kind of strict in keeping my library to clean reads

There's implied torture, language, and some blood in the story. I think it's the implied torture part that makes it Mature. I'm not sure.

3191670 Well that sounds slightly cleaner than Jurassic World (which I saw), so it should be OK to read by my standards. I think rating it "gore" should call it good. Awesome movie by the way, I loved the ending!

I didn't see Jurassic World, actually. I didn't much care to see it.
But, you know, everything about a story's up to the moderators once you submit it. If they say my story should be rated Mature, I'm not going to question it.
Anyway, how's your story coming along?
3191693 I would highly suggest Jurassic World. It's actually cleaner in gore than I thought it was going to be. I thought they were going to show like oodles of blood and the guy getting eaten right in front of your face. Instead it was like some clever camera angle like in the corner behind the cabinet and some ugly noises.
Also as far as my story (I'll assume you're referring to alt) I am finding like ZERO time to work on it. And it's so close!!! I have like a sliver of the fight scene left to go and then it's done! RRRGGGGHHHHH
