"Daft, where have you gone?!" Yes, I can hear you, my friends, and I've come back to keep you all in the loop.
As it happens, I've been working on a project that has been something I've wanted to do for quite a while: putting two of my favorite stories into book form. I've wanted to make "Stars of Darkness" into a book since a friend did it for me for Christmas in 2012, and with wonderful chapter illustrations from my friend no1c00l on Youtube and a usable cover from my wonderful wife I'm finally ready to have it done. I'm also putting "Where My Heart Lives" into print because I absolutely love that story and I want physical copies.
I know this doesn't mean a whole lot to you, my loyal readers, but it means a lot to me. :3
And why would I do this, you might ask? Well, there are two answers for that question.
The first is simply that I want to have physical copies of my two favorite stories so that I can pick them up and read them whenever I want, as well as give them to my son so that he can read them. He doesn't live with me but he loves my stories, so this is the easiest way to stay connected with him.
And the second is a bit more fun: I'm going to be at Trotcon 2015 in Columbus, OH, and I plan on taking several copies of both books with me to the con so that, on the off-chance that I meet a fan of my work, I can give them a copy of whichever story they would like. It would please me to no end to meet some of you lovely people there, but I understand that it's in a weird part of the country and the chances are negligible... It doesn't stop me from hoping it, though. :3
Anyway, that's what I've been doing. I plan on using tomorrow and Sunday to start writing again, so expect to see a new chapter of "Moon and Stars" as well as the completion of the Sweetie Belle portion of "As the Lily Grows"!
