PSA: Fimfiction has a [code] tag. · 2:43am Jun 26th, 2015
I don't think anyone here has ever mentioned this tag, and I didn't know Fimfiction supported it until I saw someone use it.
This tag is spelled [code]. You close it with [/code]. Things in a code tag will come out in a monospaced font, where all letters are just as wide, and a space is the same width as a letter.
This
lets you
perform
precise
alignment.
This is intended for posting fragments of computer code on Fimfiction, as code uses precise indentation for ease of reading.
If you aren't into that sort of thing, it can be used to post ASCII art.

Unfortunately, fimfiction's monospace font is way too tall. This means that ASCII art will look terrible (this was a mediocre piece to begin with though), and will be even more annoying to see in a thread than it would normally be. I'm saying you can do this, not that you should.
A more legitimate use of this would be to represent something computery within a fic. Like, if Twilight is hacking into the Pentagon, you would put a pile of technobabble inside a code tag.
[b]Also, bbcode tags are still processed in the middle of a code block.
In my opinion, they should not be.[/b]
