Trixieverse: The Mass Effect Ending · 12:16pm Jun 15th, 2015
One of the major flaws with Trixieverse I was the ending. I rushed it because of a contest and a day doesn't go by when I think about changing it. Of course, I can't because it will influence Trixieverse 3, but I digress.
It basically ends with Trixie donning the Element Of Magic and fighting her former mentor, Luna, who is under the control of the Nightmare symbiote. Nightmare warps Trixie through numerous places in time but eventually is defeated in Canterlot Castle at the hands of Trixie and the Element Of Magic. And Deus Ex Machina says Twilight found a way to dimension travel and send Trixie back to her timeline. However, Trixie decides to stay but another Trixie (from The Other Pony) comes out and it ends there.
Now the main problem here is the battle. It's far too short and Nightmare is only defeated by a Deus Ex Machina. At the time I didn't think this through but here are some other concepts I was thinking of.
Nightmare and Trixie go at it Harry Potter style with the magic beams and stuff. Nightmare is finally killed...but that leaves no Trixieverse 3 unless I want to bring in a new villain or bring back Trixie's Evil Clone.
Nightmare takes control of Trixie's body but through "Heroic Willpower" she resists it. Nightmare is weakened and leaves Trixie saying "Oh well, there are plenty more Trixies in the sea." Forshadowing the sequel.
