First Blog! Hello, I have no idea what I'm doing... · 10:17pm Jun 9th, 2015

The song I was listening to while scrambling to put this together.

Okay, after posting my very first story, I thought it would be a good idea for me to introduce myself to the community. Here goes nothing.

Hello, people of the Internet! I've been on the site for an actual while now, being an essential ghost and reading stories but not saying anything (or at least something of major importance). Finally decided to work up the courage to make an account and work on my very first story, as seeing everyone else doing it made me take those final steps. I'd also like to note at least a few artists whose spin-off comics kicked me into gear, such as thegreatcat14, Jack-a-lynn, Rileyav, WubcakeVA, figgot, mit boy.... oh, there are a bunch of other people I could list off, but that would take too long for my tastes. So I thank you guys for your indirect kick-start and I do hope that you continue to make the awesome art and literature that you do.

As for me, I've been interested in the art of heartwarming. I've been interested in things that soothe the mind, make you smile when you're having a bad day and whatnot. I've been interested, and I've been hoping to convey those very same feelings within the stories I write here. I hope to open up a few new paths to take when everything else has been done, to provide the sense that you came out learning a new lesson. From the moment I read a few of Aesop's works, I always had the idea that every story was made to teach you something, whether that something would be good or bad. I mean, I am only just one guy and can only do so much, but if it means something to you, then.... what else could I ask for?

I intend for most of my stories to stay below the M-rating, but there might be a few that cross that line - more specifically, the ones that feature what TV Tropes would refer to as "high octane nightmare fuel". Those particular stories of grit will probably few and far between. I don't exactly have the psyche of Edgar Allen Poe or H.P. Lovecraft when it comes to these things, after all. Safe to say, the works of a kinder attitude will outnumber the darker ones. I'm sure you'll know them when you see them.

So, yeah. That's all I have for now. Feel free to read and comment. Comments let me know when people are looking, but critique is a strong piece of encouragement for me to continue. Thanks a lot, and bye bye!
