Negative Feedback

So I'm new to this whole FIMfiction site, and I had thought that I could come here for some different feedback on my story Rise of the Republic outside of my small fandom that I've accumulated (And perhaps even enlarge that fanbase a tad), however, the only feedback that I have received so far are 10 thumbs down and two comments, one telling me that my story was incredibly unoriginal, and two that my story description was not properly done.
I understand that people will have their own opinions in it, but seriously, at least tell me some things I could help more. These chapters are older as well, so if I absolutely had to I would go back a revise it. Because I see it in one shade of paint that I can't exactly see my story without my own biases, and instead of giving me a plain thumbs down, please critique it as well because a thumbs down tells me absolutely nothing but, "Wow my story must suck".
I joined this site to get feedback and improve, but it seems as though this might be another one of those sites that was created for a purpose, but the users have totally missed that purpose. I'm seriously not trying to complain about the lack of feedback, or be ungrateful, but seriously, it's getting ridiculous.
