Where One Story Ends, Another (Hopefully) Begins

So due to reasons I will not state here, I had to cancel "The Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of Equestria", which unfortunately never got to be fully realized. While my first and only chapter of the story was an unedited mess, it nevertheless had its fans, and to those fans who were forced to wait for any update over a shamefully long time, I deeply apologize. I know all too well what it feels like to have something promising shown to you before being cancelled (thanks Konami!) and it shames me to think I may or may not have caused those who were looking forward to seeing were my story went the same painful feeling. There is however, some good news. I have been working on a fan crossover between MLP and my personal favorite film for a while, with only vague hints posted here as to what it is. Now, with the first chapter nearing completion, I am happy to announce "The Thing Beneath Their Flesh"! The story is, as some of you might have guessed, a crossover with John Carpenter's legendary horror film "The Thing, and I greatly look forward to posting it here in the months to come. I delayed on starting the project thus far as I am still in school, but my graduation comes in a few weeks, and with it comes all the time I could possibly need to dedicate to writing this fic.
There is another fic I want to work on, one which I have been thinking about doing for some time now. It is a fan sequel, but to what I will not reveal. I have contacted the author of the fanfic to which I hope to write my sequel, and in time I shall receive my answer. I do not wish to get anyone too excited as the answer could just as easily be a "no" as it could be a "yes", but I will say this; should I be granted permission to write this sequel, I fully intend to make it as horrifying, messed up, and grotesque as humanly possible. But until I receive my answer, I shall focus my efforts on my "The Thing" based fanfic.
