I'm still here, by the way · 7:23pm May 23rd, 2015
Still in Germany, still doing my thing, but I won't be writing very much. My internship requires full-time work, and I do a lot of traveling on the weekends because YOGTEO (you only go to Europe once).
Hostels are quite common here, and they're not nearly as sketchy as the North American ones. Also train travel is really convenient. The ICE train goes up to 250km/h in some places. Unfortunately the German train conductors are on strike indefinitely. So far I've managed to avoid major delays, but there's no end in sight.
And on a final note, Europe has many TF2 players. There are always at least 600 players in MvM, so it's lightning-fast matchmaking. I got to finish Caliginous Caper twice this morning. In Canada I usually have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to get matched with five medics. They have way too many modded servers though. I've played more than one game with 10 players. It's fun because you're so ridiculously OP that you spend the whole mission spawn-camping the robots, but late game it feels like people are stealing my kills.
Anyways, I'll be home in another month. I have 2 new stories that I've been working on, but I don't know if I'm ready to start posting. Updates will be out eventually. Being in a new environment, I just don't have the heart to work on the old stuff right now. There's so much to do, and I just can't calm down long enough to write anything good.
