MLP:FiM The Movie (NOT Equestria Girls) · 6:00am May 17th, 2015
So, here I was, watching some movies, reading some fics, when suddenly an idead sprouts in my mind.
What if, the MLP:FiM movie, thats been already announced in the future, is a ending for the show itself? Hasbro did it for the Transformers Prime series, so its possible they could be making it for MLP too. That being the case, what would you guys want to see in such a movie?
What i really want to see is not some great crisis threatening the planet, not some alliance between villains both old and new, what i want to see is the future of Equestria. I want a cheap ass excuse for the mane 7, to witness the future, and us ourselves of course.
The plot is very simple bad guy messes with time travel and the mane crew gets caught up in it, they meet their children, and both groups team up to take bad guy out.
This plot works as valuable, and perhaps the most important lesson about friendship, as the mane 7 grew older, they had grown apart of each other, Twilight has princess duty, RD has the Wonderbolts, Aj has the apple family bussines to take care off, Fluttershy now has a sanctuary for animal, Rares moved to Manehattan, Pinkie now has her own Sugarcube Corner, Spike is helping either Rares or Twilight.
At first they are afraid of it, but by the end they realize that their bonds only grew stronger with time, and they spawned new friendships themselves, the childs would work as soothing the future shock each reassuring their parent that, despite distancing each other, their decisions made huge impacts, not only on their own lives but others as well, and show that the future i not something to be afraid off.
This idea not only teaches but allows for a amazing number of cameos, Derpy, Dinky and Doctor, the CMC, Gilda and other Gripphons, Flim and Flam, maybe even introduce characters that resemble older incarnations.
What do you guys think? is it a good plot, a bad plot, if you like, what di you wanna see being confirmed by the show? Or you dont think it will be an ending at all, just another adventure with a few more budget into it?

Not really bad at all. We writers are up a stupid-O-clock in the morning writing stuff, usually because we get really good ideas at night when we're alone to think about our fics more. Or we get ideas that we just can't get out of our heads and want to write them down before we forget them.
