Season Five, Episode Seven: MOST EPIC EPISODE EVER! · 7:18pm May 16th, 2015
Okay quick warning, this contains spoilers and MY opinion. If you have a problem with either, don't read. That being said, please enjoy my random thoughts.
My feelings about this episode can be summed up as
We have meme's everywhere. Including ones from metal gear solid! That blew me right out of the water, and I loved it. XD
Next we get to see the return of the Smooze and boy was that interesting. Discord's relationship with the Smooze was just the right amount of awkward to work out really well, too bad there weren't any refrence's to the song.
It was also really nice to see a more playful Celestia worked into the show.
Finally and this is my biggest point that I have to make. This episode had the strongest evidence I've seen so far, that Fluttershy is a lesbian horse. Yes this episode will get all the fluttercord fans super excited, heck I use to love that ship too, but after some of the comics I realized that Fluttershy is probably not his cup of insanity (he used to date Twilight's past life, she was a cat.). Maybe I am just riding the hype train into fanship-writing-town, but I believe that this is the closest that we will ever see to anypony being a lesbian in the show. The moments with Fluttershy and Tree Hugger were just awkward enough that I think this episode qualifies as implicit yuri (if your familiar with the term). So I'm super happy about that.
Also with how Tree Hugger acts, I think she's really freaking high, and Fluttershy probably joins in.
Actually thanks to this episode I will have to write a ship story about Tree Hugger and Fluttershy at some point, or at least include them into a story.
Oh and one last note of importance, Maud was there, and she has a mean streak. I love that. XD

I'm not quite sure how I feel about Fluttershy showing more evidence that she has a though time distinguishing reality from fiction. Between her willingness to join the equality cult, and her easily going along with Tree Hugger's philosophy, she is showing a worrisome pattern. At least Equestria is full of magic, so aura's might actually be a real thing there.
3074259 I got the feeling that for the most part Tree Hugger talked in metaphore. Though a water fall having an aura I still doubt very much... or at least I would have until Tree Hugger did the whole harmonic voice thing. Maybe Tree Hugger sounds insane, but she might actually understand EVERYTHING! Lol
