My thoughts on this Saturday's episode.... · 4:06pm Apr 18th, 2015
Well first of all while I do adore Applebloom, this episode was completely predictable! Seriously, all they could come up with was "hey what if Luna and the CMC were characters in the movie Inception!" Look, it isn't that the moral of the episode is bad it's just that, we've fucking seen this conflict several times before! Remember the Cutie Pox episode? Or For Whom The Sweetie Belle toils. Look it's just that we've been promised that the CMC would be getting their cutie marks for awhile now and it's just getting boring. And in all honesty, I think this episode would've worked better had Applebloom actually got her cutie mark. That would've made the message of "Okay so what do I do now" more serious. But when you pull a deus ex Inception, it takes the whole thing away. Sorry but this episode only gets a 5/10 in my book.
I don't think that the show is gonna last much longer if they're coming up with weak and predictable ideas like that.
2994199 yeah and the dumbest part of that was the dream where she gets a cutie mark that isn't apple related and her "family" rejects her. Uh...even though it had been established plenty of times not only in past episodes but even five minutes before the plot began AJ and her family wouldn't care! Again, I think whoever wrote this episode was more thinking "hey what if Inception and MLP crossed paths!"
2995707 Season Five is gonna be dead in the water if this keeps up. Although personally I think that it already did with Season Three.
