Another short story for entertainment. Prologue. · 8:18am Apr 18th, 2015
It was a calm summer night. The outside window was open letting in the cool night air to ease the burden of heat.
For even the night did not provide full relief from the intense summer heat.
The kirin was chatting on My little Pony fansite, chatting with some of the humans on there and mussing to herself about silly these strange two-legged creatures were. Sometimes they would do the most amazing things; they could create the most amazing pieces of technology and yet, they failed to recognize their unity with each other. Wars for example were very common on their world from what she understood.
She being a kirin couldn't even stand the mere sight of the crimson colored fluid that came about from when another became wounded, for hers was a species that was not capable of inflicting harm on another. So,it pained her much to see these humans fighting among themselves whnever she slipped into their world.
"Such as waste really. They hold the potential to create themselves as the lords and ladies of their world but keep choosing to act with foolishness of a foal or filly," she said to herself.
She paused to take a moment to collect herself. She also stretched her wings and flexed her forehooves a little as well. Her small but athletic begged for a good trot and perhaps even a little flight. She chuckled, "sorry little humans but though I enjoy my job of learning about your world I am afraid I must leave to go for quick flight."
She wondered how her "friends" would react to such a statement. What she had actually said was a simple message: "going for walk, see y'all later."
Yes indeed it was fun to chat but this teenage kirin was eager for some flight time. She chanted the incantation and opened up the portal to her world. The one thing that favored her about going to her homeworld was that it didn't matter how much time she had spent there.
She could be gone for centuries and return to find less than a day had passed in the humans' world.
When the incantation was she felt the energy flow out of her horn in the form of a small bluish colored orb. The orb float for a moment or two and slowly expanded until it formed a doorway sized hole and walked through it.
The feeling of heat and pleasant feelings flowed through her as her body warped into different proportional sizes.
When the ordeal was finished she awoke to the familiar pink grass and rainbow colored sky.
A hoof reached out to help her up and its owner gently gave her a warm welcome.
"Welcome back Sunstar. Was your... journey productive?" The tall black stallion asked. His long slender and almost feminine shaped body falsely hid the unbelievable power her brother possessed. His smiling mouth revealing his white teeth and child like love for his "baby sister."
"No more than usual, Rock Crusher. No more than usual." She smiled back and as if some signal had been given both expanded their wings to take to the sky...
