    It's been a while folks.

Woah, it's been a long time since I've written. Just thought I'd let anyone who follows/cares/are alive to read this, I still edit and stuff, just not as quickly anymore. Life has been getting pretty fun so I'm not on the computer as much. For example, in less then a month I will be going on a 3 day trip for an ultimate scuba diving trip. We are expected to do about 15 to 20 dives. It's

    COLLEGE PANIC

So literally less than 24 hours from now I will be heading down to my college for the next school year. Needless to say I am nervous and anxious to be on my own once again. This does however mean a couple of things. One. I will have less time to spend with you lovely folks. Two. It cuts into my editing schedule, DEEPLY. Some people will get their edits done perfectly on time, because they live

GiR-Any one interested. · 12:23am Jul 14th, 2012

So for the past three days an idea has popped in my head called God Is Relativity. Basically it takes place one week after the Changling attack on canterlot and most of Equestria has returned to normal, practically forgetting about how close their society was to being overthrown. Celestia however falls into a state of depression. She is upset with herself and in the story we get to look at how she carries herself. She feels that she let down all of her people because she is their goddess. She begins to ponder if she is a good ruler because she is supposed to be flawless.

Enter a character I have been writing about for 7 years. Roy Gipson, or the God of Chance. Roy has a LONG back story that no one will give two flying fucks about so I'll keep it brief. Roy is basically an OP character, he can practically do anything with the power of a Million Pinkie pies. But this is the point, God is relative to who is saying what god is. This story will tackle what does it truly mean to be god with an important lesson that even higher beings with thousands of billions of trillions of years of experience can make mistakes. Here is a rough monolouge I wrote after having the weirdest dream in my life.

"Being god is like being expected to know how each blade of grass that has ever grown is different from each other, the truth is that you can't. The only way that someone can be the all knowing powerful god is to be a writer and write his own story. They know everything that is going to happen and they have the power to control their universe. However even these gods, still make mistakes through typos, plot holes, and even just bad writing. Why is that? Because no one is perfect. The truth is that even a god can make mistakes.Take solace Princess of the sun. You are still a young immortal. You are still learning how everything works, but remember at the end of the day that you still hold the power of life and death, the power to sustain or destroy this world. This tiny tiny world lost in the vast wonders of universe that would mean absolutely nothing to people where I come from. But here, here you and your sister are GODS."

I am interested!

So far I'm 1.5k into it. Pretty soon I'll get back to editing the 90k slack that I haven't been keeping up with for everyone else.

thoughts and opinions on my story? Suggestions?

Hoo boy, I actually love stories with this concept :D
I mean, a lot of times they end up being rather samey, so I hope you do something interesting with it. If anything, I'd really like to see a whole "coming to terms with the raw power of being a god" scene when he sees just how far his mistakes can go. I don't have anything specific because I'm not writing for it, but I'll hope you can get the gist of it :twilightsheepish:

In any case, YES, I would like to be reading this in the near future :rainbowkiss:

So I have never read any fics that have done this thing. How do they normally end? I planned on Roy giving Celestia a piece of himself in case She ever needed his guidance and see what he is up to. I got a SO much back story on roy, as in 230 pages of short stories....:pinkiecrazy:

I am looking advice from other writers as well so anything will be appreciated.

Mhm, I understand. I'd be able to help more if I wasn't so invested in my own writing at the moment, but I'll do what I can :twilightsheepish:
Well, there's no real thing as a 'normal' ending for this concept, it can really be taken in any direction you want, so long as its portrayed properly. As for the 'piece of himself,' it sounds like a good idea in theory, as long as it's not limited to just being a plot device :derpytongue2:
Also, I know the feeling of having a well-developed character in your head for a long time, it's just the matter of making sure it comes across as well in writing as it does in your imagination.:twistnerd:

In any case, like I said, very much looking forward to it

Well the joke was that he wouldn't show up. The idea of leaving a part of him was leaving a piece of god. It's not even meant to be a plot device, it is more like a slight romantic gesture showing empathy. I am playing with the idea that she could follow him, but I feel like that is sort of doctor whoish... The piece is leaving behind all of his knowledge to help Celestia understand how to take life and use the knowledge to guide her through being immortal... I sort of want Celestia to become the student for once.:trollestia:

231055
Well damn, man, now you're making me antsy wanting to read it :twilightangry2:
There just needs to be more character exploring Celestia stories. I made a joke about it recently, but in all seriousness it would be great to see some actual expansion on her.

231059
Well good news is, I need a proof reader. SO, regardless if you want to do that. I'll email you it when I get it done. If you can't, RandomHero has my back.

231063
"regardless if you want to do that"
PFFT, NOW YOU *HAVE* TO.
hehe, sucker.

...wait. Crap.

You win this round, wildberk! *fist shake*

(No seriously though, sure, PM me when you're good and I will use my grammar nazi/solid writing ability powers to their full extent. No problem.)
