This is pretty much my mini rant to those that notice my lack of attendance on here. I am on this site everyday, literally, for about 10 mins. I check my messages, feed, and notifs. The good news is I'm not getting any notifs and messages that often, because it causes me to come on here and do something like this. Anyways, back to the point, I hate to say it, but I have been avoiding this site for a while (more recently than long lasting). I have my reasons for avoiding this site, which for those that complain why they don't receive replies will get.
First reason: I work as a Surgical Technologist. If you do not know what they do during their working hours, I will help you with that. They stand, run, think, and do. That is all we do at work. If I am not running around setting up instruments or pulling for a case, I am standing in an OR room passing instruments to a Surgeon. Other than that, I will be thinking about the next case I have to do, what gear I need for it, and what I need to wash once I make my way down stairs to Sterile Processing (SPD). The only time I get to sit is during my lunch break, which I'm lucky sometimes to even get 30 minutes of that and for a third of that time, I am running to get my food on a different floor; that means more standing. So in a total, I might get to sit for 20 minutes out of the 8-10 hours I am standing. It takes a lot of energy to stand and function properly for those long periods under pressure, so I'm sorry if I come home and the first thing I want to do is sleep. Hey! I still find ten minutes of my time to at least get on here to see what people are up to and the type of stories that are being made! Be happy I can provide that!
Second reason: Often during these ten minutes of browsing, I like to view the bad fictions to see if I might want to help them in some way, so they are not getting berated by idiots from bad review groups (Rage Reviewers) over ideas with potential. I have to look at their comments often as they blow particular sections out of proportion, and fail to actually help the writers. Congratulations! You managed to tell me something I did wrong and spent three-four paragraphs explaining how bad it apparently was, yet you don't tell me how to fix it! Then you don't tell me what I'm doing right, so I know which direction I should be leaning towards to benefit myself as a writer to provide my viewers with substantially good work to read and enjoy! Some may tell me to calm down, but as soon as people can make a review, it will be much easier on them, the author, and me. When I see stupid stuff like that, I just simply leave the site because I don't want to deal with idiots replying with half-witty comments full of ignorance over a conversation they lost the moment they posted a comment.
Third reason: I don't have a real reason to come on this site. I hate blogging because it's like Twitter except you don't post something every 5 minutes, but it is enough to make me stop blogging. I have no stories to post; I don't have the time, patience, or motivation to write right now. Weekends might be my times to write, but as I am in a new setting, I would love to explore the area I live in before I have to leave it all to go home. I'm going to be out during 70% of my weekends either exploring or drinking because I could use that time to get away from idiots and work; both are not always in the same place.
Don't expect a reply all the time when you send me a message. I fall asleep at my computer often, and when I wake up, I don't remember to finish the message I start, which leads to me entirely forgetting about the message. Honestly, if you really want to talk to me, and I don't send you a message within 24 hours, send me another message. I do not mind. I prefer people to send me warning messages than a message a month later asking me why I didn't reply to the last message. It does not annoy me or piss me off when you send another message on top of your previous one. Sending 5 messages all at one time might lead you to getting blocked, but one decisive message reminding me that I haven't sent you a reply back will make my day. I am a very simply guy; there is little that pisses me off. I try not to make deadlines because I know I won't make them as everything in life gets in my way when I do, but if you simply just ask, I will answer. Arguing with me doesn't help, attitude, drama, fighting, attempting to berate, spamming, insulting, all of that jazz. Very simple: just don't give me a reason to be an asshole, and we will both be good.
Mini rant, done. Now I have to get back to work before my workout and bed time. Good night...
