I have to say, I loved the new season starter. I love most of them, as I am very easy to please. I know there will be dozens of people pointing out all the flaws and stuff but I don't care. I loved the new villain. I mean, in a series that has given us Trixie, Sunset, and bucking Discord I think that Starlight the Cult Leader is the most narcissistic little egomaniac I have ever seen and she's so damn nice about it. I know Trixie has an ego, but I always kinda assumed it was a becoming the mask kinda thing. Like she was a show pony, but after a while the show became her face, if that makes sense. And Discord has the power of Q. Of course he has an ego. Sunset was Celestia's student once, it's realistic she'd have an ego. But this new pony is just...I honestly think that this one could give Bella Swan a run for her money with the sheer 'It's all about meness. Look at me, I am so special.' I mean, she's a cult leader. Yes I know there are a lot of people say 'communism' but honestly I looked at all those painfully smiling ponies through that song and the way they would say 'welcome' at the start and all I could think of was: this is a cult. These are Church of Happyology ponies. It was great. And I loved the song. I think the last really cheerful villain song I heard before this was...

Okay, it was the Smooze song. Weird.
Oh, and I really liked what they did with Fluttershy. I was annoyed during the first part cause she was clearly willing to drink the Kool-aid, but she redeemed herself in the last bit. I have to admire that they didn't just leave her bubble headed.
Pinkie had the best faces. Ever. I need them on my desktop. Now. Forget the pretty mountain on it now, I need Disapproving Pinkie.
I also loved that at the end it was the ponies they came to save that saved the mane six at the end, mainly because that doesn't usually happen. It was nice to see the heroics repaid in kind.
So yeah, this was rambley and I have run ons everywhere. Meh. I just needed to get this off my chest. Great show. I can't wait for the rest of season 5.

Funnily enough, the Season Five opener was in some ways a bit more 'low key' in comparison to other openers, but I think it this case it really worked (because honestly, how do you top Treik showing up? 2954140 I know right? Now all we need to have : Willow Johnson, Maggie Blue O'Hara, Laura Harris, Venus Terzo , Lalainia Lindbjerg to voice characters at some point and it will be like the Tales Seven are back (sorta, kinda, not really). And having Cartright return as Gusty would be AWESOME!

2954607 Been awful sick these past few weeks, so slow. I am about halfway done with the next Rainbow chapter though.
