So apparently the people who want Ditzy Doo- Oh, I'm sorry, ahem, "Derpy Hooves", to be called Derpy Hooves at all times. Even when people are trying to express their work in their own fashion.
As I explained on my own comment, this argument is pretty ridiculous. Either name, Ditzy or Derpy, is usable in any context and that shouldn't be changed. I used Ditzy Doo in my story due to it sounding more like an actual pony name rather than a nickname (which is what "Derpy Hooves" is; a nickname). Ditzy just sounded more formal than Derpy. Although I have considered having other characters addressing Ditzy by the name of "Derpy", but the way she would react to that would be depended in the context the character uses the name "Derpy".
I think her name was originally Ditzy Doo on the show, but came out as Derpy in the episode "The Last Roundup". Even if Derpy is canon, Ditzy is still a name for her.
That's just my honest view on this debate, and how much I hate it.
Just let people call her Ditzy if they please, and Derpy if they please.
