A Succinct Summary of the Galactic Civilizations Races

GalCiv is still my favorite game ever, so might as well pull some cheap jokes/infodump out of it:

    Unpublished Story

So I have this story. It's about Lyra Heartstrings, the smartest mare in the world, writing a book. I have a bunch of great ideas for it, and I've already written 6500 words for it. It is written in the form of a scientific guide with a really weird author. Unfortunately, it's failed moderation, and the only way for me to get it passed an published is to write approximately twice as many words of

    Best Torchwood Quote ever

I have searched for the phrase "I shall walk the Earth and my hunger shall know no bounds," but I keep getting redirected to Weight Watchers.

Also, I'm still working on CAJH. Just busy with college.

    Galactic Pony Civilizations

Man, I wish I could do this crossover, but I clearly don't have the time or skill. Oh well:

"Long ago, powerful beings fought a desperate civil war across the galaxy.
The noble Alicorns and the evil Draconequui fought to within inches of final victory for Draconequui.
    And then suddenly, they vanished.

Their departure opened the door for the younger civilizations to make their way into the galaxy. But their progress was slow, as their ability to travel great distances was limited by the Stargates. The stargates could only send ships between any two of them.
The rise of the youngest race, equinity, on Equus in the 12th century led to a discovery that would shatter the interstellar balance: Harmony Drive. With it, ships could travel great distances on their own.

Now the younger races have found themselves in a race to explore, expand, colonize, and ultimately, conquer the galaxy.

But as they will soon learn; there are far worse things in the universe than each other."

Galactic Pony Civilizations II
Draconequui

This very obscure video game was one of my most favorite of all time. I've even bought the beta for GalCiv 3. It is essentially Sid Meyer's Civilization IN SPACE! By using planets and solar systems in a galaxy, not like Beyond Earth. I mean it fits in almost perfectly in pony canon with the species:

Using only species from the tv show, humans of the Terran Alliance, the diplomats and traders, are ponies, those kind thingies who became friends to save themselves. Then we have the Altarians, a species that looks identical to humans. They are basically space elves, one with nature and are the goody-two-shoes of the universe. I could say "zebras". Then we have the Arcean Empire, a bunch of honorable warriors. So Griffons. We have the Drengin Empire, basically evil slavers. Diamond Dogs. Drath Legion: giant lizards that are manipulative. Also kind of hate the Altarians. Let's go with Dragons.

We have the Iconian Refuge, a race thought to be dead but recently returned, aka Crystal Empire and ponies. We have the Yor Singularity, robots that want to kill everything created by the Iconians (who then killed off the Iconians, which is why they were thought dead). I'm pretty sure robot ponies are fine in this setting.

Torian Confederation: once enslaved by Drengin: let's go with donkeys. Then there are those two groups that are basically ruthless corporate executives (Ferengi) so let's go with minotaurs and Ahuizotl. The Thalan, the enigmatic time travelers. Also bug-like, so Changelings. Last, the Krynn Sydicate, religious group made up of many species, aka, all other species: Quarray eels, sea serpents, buffalo, goats, cows, etc.

The humans are diplomats. They invent hyper drive. Basically ponies inventing Harmony Drive. Then there are the ancient races of Arnor and Dread Lords. The Dread Lords were more powerful, but the Arnor were more numerous. Guess what? There are more alicorns than Draconequui!

At the end of Dread Lords, the humans get an impenetrable force field around the earth. It's a perfect blue-ish sphere, resembling the one in A Canterlot Wedding!

Man, I wish I could do this, or find someone who knows this game.
