Getting out of this [censored] block: Deleted scene. · 5:33am Mar 10th, 2015

Well, to change a little, I just sat down and wrote literally whatever came to my mind till the clock marked an hour. The scene is supposed to be part of Atomic Knight, but it kinda derails from the actual them of the fic and it doesn't really fits.

Since I'm not sure on what to do with it, I decided you could have it so it doesn't get lost. Enjoy it (don't ask in what mod I was because I don't know either).

"Ugh, where am-- where am I?"A white unicorn stallion opened his eyes, very slowly.

He tried to figure out where he awoke this time. White covers, princess size mattress, absurdly expensive pillows, oak bed. Yeah, it seemed like a prince's room. His room, in the penthouse of the Blueblood Tower.

Meet Vladimir Blueblood, the last member in the Blueblood line of succession and a complete loser. He just reached his twenty-eights and he's already managed to get at the top of the game and still lost it miserably. He's also a prince.

"Oh, my head." Blueblood was trying to get up, but gravity and hangover weren't really helping. "Whuh-- What time is it?"

"Quarter past eleven." An blue pegasus stallion answered his rhetorical question.

"Huh?" The guy seemed familiar to Blueblood, but he couldn't quite tell. "And you are..."

"Soarin'," he answered while dragging a suitcase with her. Blueblood sat in the deb's edge, still shaking off the hangover.

"Okay?" he put a hoof over his temple. "What are you doing in my room, Soarin'?"

"He's helping me move," an orange mare pegasus entered the room and took a box with some books in it. Blueblood barely listened as his eyelids were slowly closing. Until his brain finally registered what he just heard,

"Hold on!" Blueblood rose from the bed as fast as he could, chasing down the pegasi from his room. "Spitfire, wait!" They crossed the living room. Finally, in main door, Spitfire turned around. That made Blueblood to stop dead in his tracks. "Why?"

"Vlad," Spitfire began as Soarin' went to call the elevator. "This is not working."

"What are you talking about?" Blueblood asked. "We haven't been together more than six months." He was surprised to say at last.

They met each other right after the Gala fiasco. He was doing the math around the damages and repairs while she was helping to chase the escaped animals. It was just a casual, and literally accidental bump. After the confusion was over, they had some time to talk. After discovering they shared a mutual interest in aviation and air sports, they shared a surprisingly romantic date the day after that.

When they awoke together in the same bed, none of them wanted to go. Since then, they have been dating. Unsurprisingly, since both tended to don't think to much before taking a decision. Eventually, he convinced her to move together to his penthouse. It's been around six months since they were living under the same roof.

"That's the problem," Spitfire began. "Six months and we've barely seen each other."

It was true. Although things started fairly well, in the last six months, Blueblood has been spending most of his time in the palace, working. The few hours awaken he was in home, he said he was too tired to do anything.

"Come on, I had a dinner planed for today," Blueblood tried to defend himself. "It was going to be a surprise."

"You were going to dinner with Celestia tonight, remember?" Spitfire caught him.

"Yeah," Blueblood pointed with a hoof, but getting frozen mid-sentence. "That-- that's why it was going to be so especial. Please, Fire, we can talk about this."

"No Vlad, we can't." Soarin', the suitcase and the ox were long gone. Spitfire and Blueblood stood alone, not really sure on what to say. "Vladimir, look, I have responsibilities to take right now. Not just the Wonderbolts, but it's about time I start to get closer to my sister too. I can't be fooling around, not anymore."

"That's not the true, isn't it?" he asked. Deep down Blueblood truly believed that Spitfire wasn't telling him all of it. Without rising his gaze, he asked again. "What is it?"

Spitfire looked at him first, but she couldn't bring herself to. Instead, she imitated him, keeping her head down. "It's you."

"Wha--"

"You used to be exiting, Vlad. The Brave and the bold, all in one. You used to be challenging for me. But now--" Spitfire stopped her rant, taking her time to slow down her breath. "Now you do nothing."

Blueblood raised his head again. "Fire, you know that's not true--" He went silent when Spitfire gazed back at him.

"Yes it is, Vlad." Her expression became harder. "Look at you, always smiling at saluting in public events and doing Faust-knows-what the rest of the day. You have a Master's Degree in sociology and economy from the Canterlot U, alongside an Honoris Causa in the Gryphon Institute for your works on cartography and yet..."

"And yet what?" Blueblood pleading eyes tried to keep up with Spitfire's severe glare.

"And yet you are still a grown-up child, unable to take any responsibility."

*ding*

The world's best timed elevator ever opened its doors, letting Spitfire enter it. But, before she could press any button, Blueblood's hoof was holding the door.

"Please, Spitfire, don't do this. I just want to be with you."

"You don't know what you want, Vlad. And that's okay. You have enough money to sustain that, but that's not what I want." She tried to push his hoof away to let the elevator go.

"I can change, for you!" Blueblood pointed his other hoof to his face. "I will change, look."

Spitfire put her both front hooves on his face, softly caressing his cheeks."I love you Vlad, but I can't keep looking at how you trow away your potential and your life. I won't." She let him go, retreating further inside the elevator and turning around so she didn't have to face him. "Don't forget the dinner with your aunt."

Defeated, Blueblood let the door close. He sat down in the floor, staring at the shinny number change in countdown till the dreaded '01' was visible. After that, he stayed another twenty minutes, with his head low and trying to not think about it.

Maybe you should wait until you have more material to work with.(Some girls kiss me, some girls hug me. I think they're...) You never know when a spare scene might come in handy. It could be a flashback or a surprise ending. Or even a plot point.

The Sorcerer here is right, keep it, i'm sure you're going to use it later, i caneven Edit it if you want so it's ready

Hmm, no, I don't think so. The scene is supposed to introduce Blueblood, but somehow I managed to make it into a soap opera. Also, BluebloodxSpitfire? What I was drinking?!

2866058 you know i've read a DerpyxBlueblood fic, some days ago, it kinda seems like a fucked up ship, but it works
and it's cute.
shipping him with Spitfire is an original idea, and new and original ideas are always something who makes a fic cool.
and here, it seemed to works, kinda unexepected, just like the fact that he could be a hero

Still, the focal point here is Blueblood growing up. The break up with Spitfire should be only a footnote.

2866540 alright, but at least keep it:ajsmug:

The scene may be shorter, but yeah, it will be there.

2866557 good thing, it would be bad to lose a part of your greatwork
for my part it's getting late, so have a goodnight
