I Think They're Wasting The Smooze's Character

I'm sure many of you seen the EQD clip about the fifth season. If so, then you not only know that the season will premiere in one month, but the Smooze will appear in a future episode. While many fans are excited about it, I'm not happy. In case you didn't know, instead of making it a world ending threat worse than Tirek like in the original series, the writers are using it as a side character! The Smooze was my favorite part about the original movie and I've been hoping that the Mane Six would be fighting it, my hopes increased when Tirek was the villain of the last season finale. I was only ablem to imagine how the writers could make the Smooze such a menace, but in the end, this is how my patience and hope is rewarded?! One of my favorite villains, a being who has been called one of the most powerful villains in the MLP franchise...turned into a joke?! It's like the opposite of what they did in Transformers Animated, where they turned Butt Monkey Waspinator from Beast Wars into a dangerous character. I don't know if the rest of you feel the same, but I don't like it. It feels like a missed opportunity. Does anyone agree with me?
