Well here I am, straight from the innocent mountains of North Wales, into the urban jungle of New York, or should I say Manehattan? Regardless, I'm here, and thus the series of my blog posts arrives since I will be attending a giant bloody Brony Convention over here. This one, if you're interested.
I can't say my first impressions of America were the best. Then again, how good can a person's mood be after a twelve hour flight, that only resulted in an hour and a half of waiting at customs, that resulted in another hour of me waiting to get to the hotel, and a half hour waiting to get checked in? Seriously I thought capitalism was about efficiency. When I visited Cuba I was complaining that the cab was ten minutes late (which was debatable since the plane was ten minutes early)
However I am still very optimistic, within a few hours the con will start, and maybe Manehattan, will after all show it's worth. Let's see if these damned colonials know how to hold a party. My guess is yes! C'mon America! You can do this! You better bloody be able to, otherwise I'll lose a lot of money to a bet I had with Her Majesty over American Independence. So yes, America please...

PS
Happy Hearts and Hooves Day, or Valentines Day, whatever you chose to call it. But more about that this evening. The first six hours of a day are not the ones that we should be judging.
Awesome, hope you enjoy the convention. Though I've never been to Ponycon, I've been to a convention a few times and they have never disappointed. Also, happy Hearts and Hooves/ Valentine's to you as well, mate.

Likewise, and I will say, this con wasn't disappointing at all. Really enjoyed it. I will blog about it later, but for now I am far too tired.
