Progress update and the interesting thing that happened in my life last night .... · 6:26am Jul 5th, 2012
Well, the current word count on my hair-pulling project is currently at 12000 words and counting. However I'm not putting it up yet, not until I've got more chapters done and edited by KartalTheWriter (thank you so much for putting up with my piss-poor grammar and plot holes!).
Remember in my first post (for those that actually read it) that the working title was 'Matriarch Moon'? Have I got news for you, I finally decided on an actual title! It's official name is now 'And the Foals shall Lead'. Intrigued by the title? I hope so!
On a totally unrelated topic, something kinda cool happened to me last night!
While I was watching TV, I was rudely interrupted by a critter that had somehow made it's way into the house. Now, living out way in the boonies like I do, I've found myself catching and releasing at least three species of snakes (non-poisonous, thank god!) when they intrude in my home. Eastern Ribbon Snakes, Garter Snakes and Eastern Milk Snakes.
The critter I had to catch was no snake, but it was certainly unexpected!
A bat!
An honest-to-god little brown bat had somehow winged its way into my house!
So here I end up chasing the thing for a good ten minutes with my straw hat and trying to catch him when he lands. Finally I get him on the pantry door and fold my hat brim to keep him in there while I walk him back outside. Once I get outside, I open the hat ... and he's not in there!
He'd crawled through the gap at the top of the door and was resting on the shelf of the pantry. Sneaky little thing!
Fed up with the whole thing, I grabbed him with my bare hands and let him go outside. Interesting fact about Brown Bats, they've got sharp teeth but not enough jaw strength to break through human skin.
That's really cool. I bet that was frustrating...how did it even get in?
Also, do you have the next chapter link?
