Contest project, day one: And here we go. · 6:40am Feb 2nd, 2015
Well, since this is my first prompted project that has also a deadline, I decided to track my daily work on it to be sure that no day is left withou investing something into it.
Also, it will be good for creative consult in case I have doubts or need an external view. Also it will help to avoid those Monday to Friday grammar errors.
So, with no further ado, here's today's advance:

A fusion fic between Mazinkaiser SKL and MLP:FiM. King Sombra is back, with an unstoppable army of horrors never seen before under his command (mechanical beasts empowered by magic), nothing can stand on his way.
- Relation with the prompt:
The Regal Sisters fell. The Elements fell. The Crystal Empire burned. Discord disappeared (provably dead). Who can prevail where Equestria's major powers couldn't?- Possible characters:
King Sombra: Although it seemed like his body was destroyed, there was enough left to bind him to the physical plane. He has only one goal; reclaim what's rightfully his, the reign over the creation as its only god.
Trixie: After what happened to Equestria she did what any pony with two functional brain cells would, "Trixie has left the place," she announced before turning tail and running away. Reconnecting with her roami heritage, Trixie has wandered from city to city, all of them under Sombra's control, exchanging stories by food and shelter. The desperate times made her to succumb to any way of getting money, becoming a wanted conmare in half of Equestria, the other half have yet to meet her.
Pinkamena: After the Elements were defeated, the bearers of the Rainbow became prisoners of the Mad King. Only one of them managed to escape captivity. The image of seeing her friends being imprisoned by Sombra's dark magic and they telling her to leave them, something inside Pinkie broke. She's been a fugitive since then, adopting her less known full name and an appearance that was the opposite to the cheerful party pony. She now walks the earth, helping wherever she can and searching for a way to fix the world and free her friends.
Trixie and Pinkamena have been traveling together since the former saved the later's life. Although they're not the best possible couple, they look for each other as sisters. As a way to repay Pinkamena, Trixie has helped her to investigate how to fight Sombra.
The Last Castle's council: The only place that isn't under King Sombra's rule and main force of resistance. Lead by the older rulers of conquered nations; Shining Armor (ponies), Queen Chrysalis (changelings), First Minister Wine Stone (griffons), Shepherd of Songs (zebra), Great Wyrm (dragons), etc.- Setting:
One year later (man, I like time skips).
Sombra rules over all of Equestria, it's a pretty sad image. Since Sombra's only concern is to have power, economy and politics went down the toilet, making the place a mixture between 1984 and Stalin's CCCP. The only place that is still free is the Last Castle, still (barely) resisting Sombra's siege.- Structure:
A simple one, a prologue to establish the setting, a chapter to introduce the characters, another to introduce the main conflict and a final one to turn the tables.- Plot:
They tried everything, really everything.And yet, they were now facing their darkest hour. The shadows of evil and tyranny spread throughout the Crystal Empire. The conqueror was back, and this time could stop him. Commanding an army of mechanical monstrosities and harnessing a dark, dark, dark, dark --I really can't stress this enough-- dark magic, King Sombra was now unstoppable.
The world didn't resist too much. Sombra never gave them the chance anyways, only an ultimatum to all living beings in Equus; Join or die.
Some, like the griffon army, gave the fight of their lives. They fought till the bitter end and that made possible the creation of a resistance. But there was no point in avoiding the unavoidable. Equus belonged to the tyrant and his titans metal. Long live the King.
Despite this, hope wasn't completely lost. Two ponies, guided by legends older than Equestria itself, made their goal to find an old power to fight against the shadows that devoured the world.
The first one was the last of Equestria's old champions, willing to do anything in order to free everyone from the tyrant's claw. Pinkamena Diane Pie was going to overthrow King Sombra's rule or gladly give her life in the intent.
The other had more questionable reasons, she wasn't a very noble pony to begin with, but she wanted to change that, she wanted to be good. For once in her life, Trixie Silverlight Lulamoon wanted to be the heroine of the story.
They followed the legend about something hidden in the frozen north. It was said that under layers of millennial ice, lied a power greater than the one wielded by Sombra. The same legend that identified Sombra's army as the titans of myth, called what lied chained to its prison of ice something far more powerful.
A god... or a demon.
At first, Trixie and Pinkamena weren't sure if such power could even exist, but months of hunting rumor after rumor, they finally found the same place where Sombra found his new army. And under that place, under a seal that was invisible to the dark king, they found that the legend was true.
War and Peace. Save and avenge. Yin and yang. Brightness and darkness. Contrasts, complements, items that armed the ultimate machine. Two pilots to handle the maximum weapon. Two hearts and two natures to wield power with which they could be the goddesses who saved the world from King Sombra, or be two demons even worse than the pony of shadows and destroy everything. Together, they activated the gears, turned on the computers and freed the beast.
The ice cracked, while from the abyss, a power like no other slowly ascended.
The God Devil Emperor was awake again.
So, guys, this is it. I'll need all the help I can get to pull this out before the deadline. So, read and put your comments here to see if this is where I'll go with this.

Anyway why not ? it seems you've already all the ideas here , to make it , but to set the universe , you'll need a good chapter about the resistance , just to show that they're not the useless guys here waiting for a hero .

Well, it is a reference, but way more obscure. You see, here in Chile we used to have a Trading Cards Game called Mitos y Leyendas (Myths and Legends) and my favorite cards always were the dragons, like this one:

Hmm, I think I'll give it a day to cool it down. You know, every idea seems good at the beginning, so I can't jump to the first one I have. Also, now I'm thinking about it, the premise of an invincible enemy that can only be defeated with mechas is basically the same of Ponies and Robots Wars. Being that the case then it would be better to simply write a new chapter for that fic.

and not sure if you should make it another Chapter , here you got a nice plot that you'd need to change to put it in ponies and robot wars OR to make it as a ....Prequel ?
because we had Rainbow fighting Trixie with Mechas already so if Sombra come with his own super army , that can be destroyed by Mecha.....to me the idea if the ponies searching for their very first Mecha to help the resistance and kick Sombra's butt sounded nice
anyway if you make just as another chapter , how would you change the plot...hmm may be the loss of every Mechas one by one , fight after fight , sacrifice being made to saves lives on the Council sides , making them search for the very last one , being their only hope ?

You're right, both fics would clash so badly that the plot could actually implode (I've seen that before, it's not nice).
But in the light of showing off the it's impossible theme it would need a full chapter of Sombra is making Equestria his b*tch. Kinda like this video, but with ponies:
