A Very Bad Night. · 6:37am Jan 29th, 2015
Dear Friends.
It's 11:00 and I was half asleep after finishing a few papers here and there. I'm about to doze off for good when the phone rings from across the room. Naturally I'm a little pissed but I get up none the less to see just who it is who dared to disturb me. I look at the caller id and it's one of my friends from my home town. I'm still a little pissed so I set the phone back down and let it ring. I tuck myself back in and that's when the phone rings again. With a annoyed sigh, I get my ass back up and answer it, and he's frantic. Turns out one of our buddies tried to commit suicide a couple hours ago by mixing pills and alcohol. Luckily my other friend saw his face book post with the contents in a picture and raised absolute hell until someone near him was able to get over to his house. He was rushed to the hospital where he had his stomach pumped and is now just fine, but it just blows me the right fuck away. I was just shooting the breeze with him Monday, hell we were even going to get some of the old gang back together and hang out ,a discus Me Me Me. I'm glad he's ok, it's just the "what ifs" that have me stressed out. Me and the gang will be visiting him at the hospital tomorrow so I'll see him then. But for now, I'm at least going to try to get some sleep tonight.

I'm very sorry about your friend. I hope he gets help for his suicidal thoughts/actions, and that he can move past this stage in his life. No one should ever be driven to take their own life.
God, that's horrible. I hope he's able to get through this alright. And I hope you get some sleep too, these kind of things are never easy to deal with.
