So, I still have Super Smash Bros Brawl, and I just redownloaded the wifi hack. If anyone wants to play, I will have to write the steps down for you guys.
1) Of course, you will first need a computer and an SD card. Make sure that the SD card is 2GB or lower. The one I used is a 512MB SD card.
2) If you have a save file that is really important to you, make sure that all the custom stages are deleted. If it isn't all that important, just erase it and download this save file. After that, just make sure that the custom stages are deleted from the game. This is very important for future steps. Failure to do so will result in your wii crashing. And trust me, I would know.
3) The next file you want to download is this one. I tried downloading the Riivolution hackless, but my disc will never load twice in a row. That is why I am recommending Gecko over Riivolution.
4) Copy the contents of the .zip file that contains the hackless wifi Gecko into the root of your SD card, and you're done with the computer.
5) Now all that's left is to insert your SD card into the wii, run Brawl, and go to the Stage Builder. It may take a few tries, but eventually it'll work. Just keep resetting if it doesn't work the first time. Once it does work, you'll see the Gecko loader. If your Brawl disc doesn't really respond on the first load, you can try again. Once you get that done, you're ready to play on wifi.
Now, there are a few things you might want to know:
First, the game will probably be laggy. Second, the game sometimes freezes during stage select when not on wifi. I would recommend taking the SD card out as soon as the game loads from the Gecko screen. And third, some of you may consider it a hack, and that's fine. You don't have to try it if you don't want to. But I must reiterate this in bold:
ERASE THE CUSTOM STAGES, OR YOUR WII WILL CRASH ON STAGE BUILDER!
