Bleh.

I felt like writing a blog post about recent events, so I thought I'd go ahead and post my thoughts here.

Few updates worth mentioning. The first is that I found a very capable editor to help me out with my stories. Hopefully he'll also help me improve my writing technique, something that is in serious need of work, heh. So all of my stories should get some TLC I can't bring myself to give to them. In a previous blog entry, I mentioned that I hate trying to edit my own stuff because I tear it all up, and I don't have the most superb eye for grammar. Another problem is that I intentionally stall myself with making sure my last stuff is perfect, instead of progressing forward on my stories. It's an irritating habit of my one-track brain, and it's definitely hurting progress on all of the stories I wanna do. Hopefully with the editor working on my stuff, I can just move forward and quit worrying about my previous stuff.

Let's get to the juicy tidbits. Chapter Five of A Tale of Two Nations has been temporarily stalled, because I'm trying to figure out what to do with it save for the very end. However once we get past that, I should have a good bit of story rolling out from Chapters Six and up. I finally figured out how to tackle the plot, so woohoo! Apart from that minor victory, I found a good placeholder picture, at least until I can get another cover art for it. Looks nice at least, just hope it'll help it stand out a little better.

Next annoying tidbit is actually my other stories. I've been trying to write a story on TwentyTen, and while Glaze, Lulz, and Mic are game, Tombstone however is not, and I had to alter the story a bit to get it to work, plus I still need to talk with them in order to shape it out. This has been my main focus more than ATOTN and even my Con Mane stories. Speaking of which, I have a good idea how to at least tackle the intro to Con Mane, it's just I have trouble getting into the mood to write, thanks to being annoyed with my previous works still looking like utter garbage. But I got a great idea how to pan the series out now, so I'm happy about that. Final thing is I wanted to do another short story that takes place after Beyond Reach, which would involve Quills and Applejack having a talk during his performance during Winter Wrap-Up. Finally, games. I've been craving gaming for so damn long, and with a broken computer and not summoning the mood to go play anything on my consoles, I keep sitting at my desk wanting to play one of my favorite PC games, but worry that things are just gonna crash again. I've kinda just been trying to find some joy before I sit down and start staring at more text. I just need to be able to look at what I'm writing without seeing just a wall of words.
